The 30-year-old Trumbo, who led the Majors with 47 homers, had 108 RBIs in 159 games. Acquired in an offseason trade with Seattle, he is the third player in Orioles history to post a 40-homer season in his first year with the club (also, with 40 home runs in 2014 and Frank Robinson with 49 home runs in 1966).

Silver Slugger Award winners, determined by a vote of Major League Baseball coaches and managers, go to the best offensive producers at each position in their respective leagues. Managers and coaches were not allowed to vote for players on their own team.
