Orioles, Hunter avoid arbitration with 1-year deal

The Orioles and right-hander Tommy Hunter have agreed to a one-year contract to avoid arbitration, and according to The Associated Press, the deal is worth $4.65 million.

Hunter was a key part of Baltimore's bullpen last season, going 3-2 with 11 saves and a 2.97 ERA in 60 2/3 innings. He also struck out 45 batters, while walking just 12.

The 28-year-old Hunter is 42-31 with a 4.32 ERA in 226 career appearances.
