Padres Baseball Camps features five action-packed days of individualized instruction, marquee competitions, and special events. Each day of Padres Camp features a personal character theme, teaching campers lessons on the diamond that they can utilize off the field to become more outstanding young men and women.

Each morning, Padres Camps coaches provide campers with individualized tips and tools for improvement during our "Train and Compete" stations. The structure of these stations allows campers to immediately apply the skills they have learned to an exciting competition where prizes are on the line. Campers' opportunities to improve their skillsets continue each afternoon during the weeklong World Series Tournament. During these tournament games, coaches utilize teachable moments to help each camper develop their game even further.

In addition to the "Train and Compete" stations and World Series Tournament, the Padres Camp curriculum is loaded with unforgettable events and experiences, including:

  • Home Run Derby

Our Coaches

Padres Baseball Camps hires only the highest caliber professional educators and instructors. All coaches go through an extensive screening process that includes interviews, background checks and multiple training sessions. Our team consists of educators who have a passion for working with children, teaching the fundamentals of the game and ensuring a safe and positive experience for each of our campers.

Why We "Coach-Pitch"

Simply put, coach pitching makes for a better camp experience for your player. Why? Kids get more swings on better pitches. More swings equal more contact. More contact means more smiles. Technically speaking, our coaches can tailor their pitching approach to meet the current needs of your player. Coaches can better pitch-to-contact, emphasizing inside pitches, outside pitches, etc. to help maximize the number and quality of at-bats at camp. In addition, coach-pitching keeps campers involved on defense, protects pitch counts for your player's outside team and increases the safety factor of the overall camp experience.

Why We "Train With Contests"

Our campers share the common goals of improving as baseball players, having fun and making lifelong memories at Padres Baseball Camps. With that in mind, our morning curriculum replaces traditional drills with engaging contests. During these competitions, campers get to implement the lessons they learn at camp immediately into an exciting format. With over 30 morning competitions, we show campers the fun that is inherent in the game of baseball, and our campers get immediate feedback on their form through the teachable moments in every event. With this model, our campers:

  • Stay engaged throughout the camp day, maximizing their time at camp
  • Learn the importance of being supportive teammates
  • Receive immediate positive feedback for proper technique
  • Become accustomed to applying their skills to a competition
  • Improve their ability to work towards larger goals
  • Make more memories and have more stories to share with their families at the end of each day
  • Fall in love with the game of baseball faster and deeper than ever before

While we’ve made adjustments to our Padres Camps curriculum to ensure safety, the experience will remain highly engaging, safe, and fun for all of our campers at a time when they need camp more than ever. We successfully operated camp in summer 2020 with no instances of COVID-19 and continue to work with the CA Department of Public Health and San Diego County to ensure that summer 2021 is just as safe.

What procedures will be put in place to ensure staff are safe and that staff implement camp safety procedures?

● In addition to our already robust training, we have conducted a separate health-specific training for our staff members in consultation with our camp physician and an external epidemiologist

● All team members will clear a daily temperature check. If they exhibit a temperature above 100 degrees they will be placed on paid sick leave.

● Team members will wear face coverings when in close proximity to campers + each other

● Team members will stay with their assigned small group of campers for the entire week and will not switch or interact with other groups
