Robinson was selected from Triple-A Tucson on August 15th for his first career Major League stint but did not appear in a game before being optioned on August 17.

In 39 games for Triple-A Tucson this year, he has hit .316 (42-for-133) with five doubles, 17 RBI and 20 runs scored after being acquired by the Padres from the Baltimore Orioles organization on June 20 in exchange for cash considerations.
