Padres recall RHP Brad Brach from Triple-A Tucson

SAN DIEGO, Calif. – The San Diego Padres today announced they have recalled right-handed pitcher Brad Brach from Triple-A Tucson.  Executive Vice President/General Manager Josh Byrnes made the announcement.

Brach, 26, will be making his second his second stint with the Padres this season. The right-hander made his first career Opening Day roster this year and worked in five relief outings, going 0-1 with a 5.06 ERA (3 ER/5.1 IP) with three strikeouts against seven walks, before being optioned to Triple-A Tucson on April 16. In seven outings for Tucson this season, he has gone 2-1 with a save and a 2.70 ERA (2 ER/6.2 IP). He made his Major League debut for San Diego in 2011 and has worked in 14 career outings total, going 0-3 with a 5.11 ERA (7 ER/12.1 IP) for San Diego.

With today’s transaction, the Padres currently have a full 25 active players on the 25-man roster.
