Padres to Host Giants and Dodgers for Second Homestand of the 2018 season

The Padres return home from their first road trip of the season, a six-day six-game trip, for their second homestand of 2018, featuring games against the San Francisco Giants and Los Angeles Dodgers.

San Diego Padres vs. San Francisco Giants - Thursday, April 12 @ 7:10 p.m.
 
The Padres return home from their first road trip of the season, a six-day six-game trip, for their second homestand of 2018, featuring games against the San Francisco Giants and Los Angeles Dodgers. Action begins tomorrow with a 7:10 p.m. start against the Giants.
 
The first College Night of 2018 will take place Thursday. Elements include:
-A limited-edition College Night t-shirt for students who purchase a College Night ticket, available on a first-come, first-served basis to the first 1,000 students. 
-A DJ spinning at the Budweiser Patio in Right Field from 6:00 p.m. to the conclusion of the game.
-College students will receive a special ticket discount with a valid student ID (advance price of $15 in a Right Field Upper Reserved College Night section; prices increase day-of-game).
 
San Diego native and Baltimore Ravens defensive back Tony Jefferson will throw Thursday's Ceremonial First Pitch.
 
San Diego Padres vs. San Francisco Giants - Friday, April 13 @ 7:10 p.m.
 
Friday is the first Marvel Super Hero Day™ of 2018, featuring:
-Choice of a Padres-themed Iron Man or Captain America Bobblehead with a purchase of a dedicated Marvel Super Hero Day™ theme game ticket package. Ticket packages are available on a first-come, first-served basis and can be purchased here.
-Marvel Super Hero-themed in-game entertainment throughout the night.
 
Party in the Park presented by Southwest Airlines returns on Friday and will feature a Marvel Super Hero™ theme. The party begins at 4:30 p.m. with live entertainment, $5 drink specials and appearances from Iron Man and Captain America Marvel characters.
 
Friday will also serve as a First Responder Salute: Burn Institute Night. Elements of the day include:
-Burn survivors and fire service representatives will line the baselines during the pregame ceremony.
-Nima Biganeh, San Diego Fire Department and Burn Institute Volunteer of the Year, will ring the Ceremonial Mission Bell.
-Poway Fire Department Engineer and President of the Firefighters Advisory Council, Jeff Cole will present a check to Burn Institute.
-Dan Kramer of Oceanside Fire Department will perform the National Anthem.
-A flyover will be conducted by a San Diego Fire-Rescue Department helicopter.
 
San Diego Padres vs. San Francisco Giants - Saturday, April 14 @ 5:40 p.m.
 
As part of Baseball Night in San Diego, all fans in attendance on Saturday will receive a Padres Replica BP Jersey presented by COX. Four sizes will be available to fans (Youth Large, Adult Medium, XL and 2XL) on a first-come, first-served basis. Exchange locations will be available in Park at the Park, Park Blvd. Gate and Home Plate Gate for fans wishing to exchange sizes. Sizes are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
 
Thousands of youth softball players will participate in a Softball Day Parade on the warning track prior to Saturday's game.
 
San Diego Padres vs. San Francisco Giants - Sunday, April 15 @ 1:10 p.m.
 
Sunday, the Padres will honor Jackie Robinson with Jackie Robinson Day at the ballpark. Ten scholarship recipients from the Jackie Robinson YMCA will line the baselines during the pregame ceremony.
 
Sunday will also serve as Military Opening Day presented by USAA. Elements of the day include:
-100 representatives from each branch of the Armed Services will line the baselines during the pregame ceremony.
-The 50-State flags will be presented by Marines stationed at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego.
-John P. Farnam, Colonel, United States Marine Corps (Ret.) will ring the Ceremonial Mission Bell.
-Maggie Coleman, wife of the late Padres broadcaster Jerry Coleman who also served in World War II and the Korean War, will throw the Ceremonial First Pitch.
-A presentation by the United States Navy Parachute Team known as the "Leap Frogs."
-United States Coast Guard Petty Officer Mike Dalager will perform Sunday's National Anthem and God Bless America during the 7th-inning break.
-A flyover conducted by two United States Navy helicopters from Naval Air Station North Island.
-Nine active duty service members will take the field to greet Padres starters as part of the "Military Take the Field."
 
KidsFest presented by Chick-fil-A and supported by Del Real and Compadres Kids Sunday Signings activities include:
-KidsFest presented by Chick-fil-A and supported by Del Real features bounce houses and other inflatables, games, face painters, balloon artists and more kid-friendly activities at Park at the Park beginning at 10:30 a.m.
-From 11:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., two Padres players will sign autographs at the Park at the Park for Compadres Kids Sunday Signings. A Compadres Kids membership is required to participate. Membership is free, and kids can sign up online here or in-person on the day of the event.
 
Nearly 5,000 PONY leaguers will participate in an exclusive Postgame Kids Run the Bases as part of PONY Day and some will take part in pregame activities including infield practice in the outfield prior to Sunday's game.
 
San Diego Padres vs. Los Angeles Dodgers - Monday, April 16 @ 7:10 p.m.
 
As part of Major League Baseball's league-wide Autism awareness initiative, the Padres will host Autism Awareness on Monday. Elements include:
-A limited-edition Padres-themed Autism Awareness drawstring bag for those who purchase the dedicated theme game ticket package, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting Autism Speaks. For more information, or to purchase a ticket package, fans can visit here.
-Special seating sections and a suite designated as a quiet zone.
-Austism Speaks, an organization dedicated to the advocacy and support of individuals with autism and their families, will be recognized during the pregame ceremony.
 
San Diego Padres vs. Los Angeles Dodgers - Tuesday, April 17 @ 7:10 p.m.
 
The Padres Estrellas program presented by Arco continues its partnership with local school districts and non-profits to support the effort to reduce high school dropout rates and improve health and fitness behaviors within the Hispanic youth population. Prior to Tuesday's game, students from Monarch School, National City School District and San Ysidro School District will be treated to tickets to the game and have the opportunity to watch batting practice from the field before being recognized at home plate during the pregame ceremony.
 
The second Taco Tuesday of 2018 takes place Tuesday and features Petco Park's favorite local tacos at a special price. For only $2.50, fans can choose from a variety of taco options at Carnitas' Snack Shack, Wonderland Ocean Pub, Lucha Libre, Miguel's, Seaside Market, Rimel's and Brigantine.
 
Spanish-language voice of the Padres Eduardo Ortega will be presented with the 2017 Abelardo Raidi Award by AIPS America during Tuesday's pregame ceremony. The career achievement award, named after Venezuelan Sports writer Abelardo Raidi, is given to sportscasters, newspapers, magazines, radio and TV stations after a continental media voting process.
 
San Diego Padres vs. Los Angeles Dodgers - Wednesday, April 18 @ 7:10 p.m.
 
On Wednesday, the Padres, in partnership with SDG&E, begin their season-long "Going to Bat for San Diego" initiative. The partnership aims to honor the 13 local organizations dedicated to keeping San Diego safe and clean. Representatives from the Scripps Institution of Oceanography will be presented with a check from the Padres and SDG&E during Wednesday's pregame ceremony.
