AMERICAN LEAGUE EAST

Blue Jays: Simeon Woods Richardson, RHP (No. 7) -- 5 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 5 K (Class A Adv Dunedin)
Woods Richardson spun what was easily his best start since being acquired from the Mets as part of the Marcus Stroman trade. The 18-year-old, a second-round pick from the 2018 Draft gave up a hit in the first and a walk in the fifth, but retired 12 in a row in between. Orioles: Adam Hall, SS/2B (No. 14) -- 2-for-3, BB (Class A Delmarva)
Hall now has three multihit performances during his five-game hitting streak. The 20-year-old was the only Delmarva player to collect multiple hits Monday, notching a pair of singles and also reaching via a walk in the Shorebirds' loss against West Virginia. After starring as one of the New York-Penn League's standout hitters last season, the former second-round pick (2016) has produced a .306 average and .795 OPS with 30 extra-base hits and 26 steals in his first full season. Rays: Moises Gomez, OF (No. 13) -- 2-for-4, HR (Class A Adv Charlotte)
Gomez added to the Stone Crabs' early lead with a solo shot in the second inning, his 14th homer this season in the Florida State League. He also recorded multiple hits for a second straight game and has hit safely in four straight contests with a pair of homers.The 20-year-old's uptick in performance is an encouraging sign considering he's batting .219 with a sub-.300 OBP and the second-most strikeouts (144) in the FSL. While his approach and plate discipline has regressed this season, Gomez's age, explosive swing and raw power offer plenty of reason to be optimistic about his future. Rays prospects stats »

Red Sox: Gilberto Jimenez, OF (No. 8) -- 2-for-5, R, 2B, RBI (Class A Short Season Lowell)
Jimenez has been on a tear lately, hitting in seven straight games and recording five straight multihit performances. Signed for just $10,000 in August 2017, the 19-year-old switch-hitter has blossomed in the New York-Penn League this year, slashing .368/.396/.494 with two home runs, 15 extra-base hits and nine steals across 44 games. He doesn't project to offer much in terms of over-the-fence pop, but scouts like his feel to hit -- he only began to switch hit after turning pro -- and plus-plus speed combination. Yankees: Estevan Florial, OF (No. 2, MLB No. 67) -- 2-for-3, HR, 3 RBI, BB (Class A Adv Tampa)
Florial is turning it on a bit as the season winds down, as Monday's performance gives the 21-year-old outfielder a .297/.400/.649 batting line and three home runs in 10 games this month. Florial suffered a broken right wrist when he ran into the center-field wall during Spring Training and didn't make his season debut until early June, so a strong finish is a possibility as Florial continues to distance himself from the injury. That said, it's still been a disappointing campaign for the tooled-up outfielder, who's hitting .239/.300/.394 with seven homers in 58 games. Yankees prospects stats »

AMERICAN LEAGUE CENTRAL

Indians: Bo Naylor, C (No. 5) -- 2-for-5, 2 R, 2B, 3B, 3 RBI (Class A Lake County)
Naylor is following his worst month of the season (.205 average, .646 OPS in July) with his best. In 11 August games for the Captains, the 2018 first-rounder is raking at a .349/.391/.628 clip with two homers and six extra-base hits. He recorded two of those extra-base hits Monday, hitting a two-run triple in the first inning and then adding an RBI double in the fifth. Indians prospects stats »

Royals: Kelvin Gutierrez, 3B (No. 17) -- 2-for-4, 3 RBI (Triple-A Omaha)
Gutierrez extended his hitting streak to nine games with his fourth straight multihit effort. The 24-year-old, whom the Royals acquired from the Nationals last season, has been red-hot in August, hitting .422 and bringing his season average to .293. Gutierrez has also spent some times in the Majors this season, where he hit .260 over 20 games. Royals prospects stats »

Tigers: Kody Clemens, 2B (No. 17) -- 2-for-3, RBI, BB, SB (Class A Adv Lakeland)
Clemens, the Tigers' third-round pick from the 2018 Draft, was one of the Flying Tigers' few offense standouts Monday in a loss against Jupiter. His multihit performance was his third in his past 10 games, during which he's batting .263. While his numbers don't jump off the page, Clemens has been very solid this season in the Florida State League, posting a .710 OPS with 11 homers, 40 extra-base hits and 11 steals in 111 games. Twins: Gilberto Celestino, OF (No. 21) -- 1-for-4, R, 2B, RBI (Class A Cedar Rapids)
Celestino, 20, was named to MLB Pipeline's Prospect Team of the Week on Monday after he batted .419/.455/.677 with two homers, five runs and three steals in seven games last week. He's been raking since the calendar flipped to July, batting .366 with five homers, 18 extra-base hits and 16 RBIs over his last 38 games. Twins prospects stats »

White Sox: Yolbert Sanchez, SS (No. 23) -- 1-for-4, R, 2 BB (DSL White Sox)
Sanchez, whom the White Sox signed this past July for $2.5 million after he played three seasons in Cuba and defected to the United States, bounced back from a pair of 0-for-5 games by reaching base three times. Known more for his defensive chops at shortstop than for his bat, the 22-year-old shortstop is batting a .262/.347/.369 line in 21 games in the Dominican Summer League. White Sox prospects stats »

AMERICAN LEAGUE WEST

A’s: Greg Deichmann, OF (No. 17) -- 2-for-2, RBI (Double-A Midland)
Midland's game against Amarillo was suspended in the sixth inning, but not before Deichmann was able to record a pair of singles, one of which plated a run. The 2017 second-rounder has struggled to produce during his first two full-season campaigns while also missing time due to injury in both seasons, but the A's have continued to push him aggressively through their system. After batting .216 with a .711 OPS and seven homers in 58 California League games in 2018, the 24-year-old outfielder has hit just .220 with a .643 OPS and seven homers this season in 64 games with Midland. Angels: Jeremiah Jackson, SS (No. 5) -- 3-for-6, 2 HR, 4 RBI (Rookie Orem)
Jackson set a new Orem franchise record when he connected on his 16th home run (solo) in the second inning of the Owlz' win on Monday. He added another homer (three-run) in the fifth inning to record his fifth multi-homer performance in 49 games this season. He also singled in the contest to finish with three hits, matching his season-high total. The 19-year-old shortstop and former second-round pick (2018) is leading the Pioneer League in home runs (17), RBIs (44) and total bases (116). Angels prospects stats »

Astros: Kyle Tucker, OF (No. 1, MLB No. 13) -- 2-for-5, 2 HR, 4 RBI (Triple-A Round Rock)
The homers keep coming for Tucker. The 22-year-old went deep twice Monday, hitting two-run shots in the first and ninth innings in his fifth multi-homer game of 2019. With a career-best 32 homers this season to go along with 25 steals, Tucker is within reach of the Minors' first 30-30 campaign since Joc Pederson did it in 2014. Mariners: Ljay Newsome, RHP (No. 29) -- 6 IP, 5 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 7 K (Double-A Arkansas)
Newsome was superb on Monday as he spun six scoreless frames to pace the Travelers' in 3-0 shutout of Northwest Arkansas. It was the second straight scoreless six-inning start for the 22-year-old right-hander, who's pitched to a 1.63 ERA and 0.98 WHIP in 27 2/3 innings in Double-A, and he's now won each of his past three turns. Pitching at three levels this season in what has been a breakout campaign, the former 26th-round pick (2015) has registered a 3.43 ERA with 150 strikeouts and 13 walks in 134 innings (24 starts). Rangers: Josh Jung, 3B (No. 1, MLB No. 60) -- 2-for-4, 2 R, 2B, RBI (Class A Hickory)
Jung has hits in six of his past seven games, including a trio of multihit performances after Monday's effort. The 21-year-old, a first-round pick from this year's Draft, is hitting .299 through 23 games with Class A Hickory. Jung was considered one of the best all-around hitters in the Draft because of his ability to use then entire field and so far he's living up to that reputation. Rangers prospects stats »

NATIONAL LEAGUE EAST

Braves: Braden Shewmake, SS (No. 9) -- 2-for-4, 2 R, 2 2B, BB (Class A Rome)
Shewmake wrapped up last week by hitting a home run and driving in four runs as part of a 3-for-4 performance. He picked up on Monday right where he had left off, as the Braves' 2019 first-round pick banged a pair of doubles and scored two runs in Rome's loss against Asheville. Assigned straight to full-season ball for his pro debut, the Texas A&M prospect has handled the challenge with aplomb, hitting .323/.394/.481 with 20 extra-base hits (15 2B) and 36 RBIs in 47 games. Marlins: Peyton Burdick, OF (No. 29) -- 2-for-3, 2 HR, 6 RBI (Class A Clinton)
Burdick, a third-round pick from this year's Draft, just can't stop hitting homers. Yes, he set a career high with six RBIs, but it's his recent power surge that's truly staggering. The Wright State product has homered in back-to-back games and has gone deep four times over his past four games. Burdick is also working on a 10-game hitting streak and has hits in 17 of his past 18 games. Overall, the 22-year-old is hitting .319 through the first 53 games of his career. Mets: Matthew Allan, RHP (No. 4) -- 2 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 2 K (GCL Mets)
After tossing one and 1 1/3 innings, respectively, in his first two pro starts, Allan tossed two scoreless frames with a pair of strikeouts on Monday in Gulf Coast League action. The Mets saved enough money with their other top 10-round picks that they were able to sign Allan -- viewed by many scouts as the top prep pitcher in the 2019 class -- for $2.5 million, roughly four times the recommended value for the No. 89 overall pick (third round). He already features a plus fastball and curveball, and with so much projection remaining he could develop into a front-of-the-rotation-type arm. Mets prospects stats »

Phillies: Bryson Stott, SS (No. 3) -- 1-for-4, R (Class A Short Season Williamsport)
After finishing last week with a two-homer game, Stott nearly went deep again in his first at-bat Monday, flying out to deep right field. He would later pick up a single to extend his hitting streak to five games while also improving his average to .400 over his last 10 games. Stott, a UNLV product whom the Phillies nabbed with the No. 14 overall pick in June, has shown an impressive bat to begin his career, slashing .308/.395/.567 with six homers and 19 RBIs in 31 games across two levels. Nationals: Tyler Dyson, RHP (No. 20) -- 4 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 2 K (Class A Short Season Auburn)
Dyson had a rocky junior season at Florida and lost his spot in the Gators' rotation, but the Nationals believed that the 6-foot-3 righty had untapped potential and made him their fifth-round pick in this year's Draft. Deployed as a starter in pro ball, Dyson has rewarded the organization with a strong showing across two levels, posting a 1.53 ERA with a .183 opponents' average in 17 2/3 innings (six starts). Monday's outing was the longest of Dyson's career, and the 21-year-old has now allowed one hit or fewer in three of his six turns. Nationals prospects stats »

NATIONAL LEAGUE CENTRAL

Brewers: Alexis Ramirez, RHP (No. 30) -- 5 2/3 IP, 3 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 9 K (AZL Brewers Blue)
Ramirez is a name to follow in Milwaukee's system. The projectable 20-year-old right-hander has the makings of three quality pitches -- including a plus fastball and above-average curve -- and masks everything he throws with deception due to the uncoiling action featured in his athletic delivery. Said delivery also leads to some control and command issues, though neither were a problem for Ramirez on Monday as he racked up a career-high nine strikeouts while issuing zero walks in his longest start of the year. Cubs: Michael McAvene, RHP (No. 25) -- 2 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 3 K (Class A Short Season Eugene)
The Cubs' third-round pick has dominated to begin his career, combining for five hitless innings and eight strikeouts in three starts for the Emeralds. He's thrown strikes at better than a 69-percent clip in those outings and found the zone with 18 of his 22 offerings on Monday. McAvene served as Louisville's closer this past spring and was clocked at 99 mph in the NCAA Super Regionals, but the Cubs believe he has untapped potential as a starter due to his durable 6-foot-3, 210-pound frame and knack for throwing strikes. Cardinals: Johan Oviedo, RHP (No. 14) -- 6 IP, 4 H, 1 R, 4 BB, 8 K (Double-A Springfield)
Oviedo allowed four earned runs on five hits and failed to escape the inning in his last start, but the 21-year-old got back on track Monday by tossing six one-run frames to earn the win against Tulsa. The 6-foot-6, 210-pound righty is still learning how to harness his impressive stuff and repeat his delivery, which is why he's had quite a few shaky outings to go along with some really good ones. Pirates: Sammy Siani, OF (No. 7) -- 0-for-2, 3 R, 2 BB (GCL Pirates)
Though he was held hitless for a second straight game, Siani scored three runs from the leadoff spot to pace the Pirates' offense in a 5-4 win over the Braves. Selected by the Pirates with the No. 37 overall pick in this year's Draft -- one year after the Reds took his brother Mike in the fourth round -- Siani, an 18-year-old outfielder, stands out for his left-handed hitting ability but also could develop four average tools. Reds: Jose Garcia, SS (No. 9) -- 2-for-4, 2B, RBI (Class A Adv Daytona)
Not only is Garcia working on a 10-game hitting streak, but he also has hits in 16 of his past 17 games, using the hot streak to boost his average from .247 to .261. The 21-year-old, whom the Reds signed in 2017, is competing at the Class A Advanced level for the first time after hitting .245 last season in his professional debut. NATIONAL LEAGUE WEST

D-backs: Blaze Alexander, INF (No. 17) -- 2-for-5, R, RBI, SB (Class A Kane County)
Alexander is now batting .375 in 10 games this month and .314 in 33 games since the start of July after Monday's multihit performance. The 20-year-old infielder was held back in extended spring training to begin the season as he recovered from a minor leg injury and didn't fare particularly well at the plate upon returning, batting just .228 over his first 47 contests in the Midwest League. But he's hitting his stride offensively as the season winds down, as Alexander's recent hot streak has his season line up to a respectable .265/.355/.392 for the Cougars. D-backs prospects stats »

Dodgers: Gavin Lux, SS (No. 1, MLB No. 10) -- 1-for-5, HR; Tony Gonsolin, RHP (No. 6) -- 5 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 3 BB, 9 K (Triple-A Oklahoma City)
Lux was held to just one hit Monday, but that one hit left the yard for his 24th home run of the season. He's hit 11 of them in just 35 games in Triple-A, while also slashing .432/.514/.811 with 32 RBIs. What's more, the 21-year-old shortstop has reached base in 48 straight games dating back to his time at Double-A Tulsa, where he slashed .313/.375/.521 in 64 games. Giants: Logan Webb, RHP (No. 5) -- 7 IP, 7 H, 1 R, 0 BB, 7 K (Triple-A Sacramento)
Webb's Triple-A debut couldn't have gone much better as he fired 60 of his 90 pitches for strikes across seven solid innings. The 22-year-old, a fourth-round pick from the 2014 Draft, did yield seven hits, but successfully navigated his way out of trouble to keep the damage minimal. Padres: Austin Allen, C/1B (No. 12) -- 1-for-4, 2B, 2 RBI (Triple-A El Paso)
Allen is enjoying a productive 2019 campaign and will likely be back in San Diego once the rosters expand, if not sooner. The 25-year-old made his Major League debut earlier this season and hit .250 over 21 games with the Padres. In Triple-A, Allen has hit for both average and power this year as he's hitting .301 with homers.While Allen's bat is solid, there are still some questions about whether he will remain a catcher. Rockies: Grant Lavigne, 1B (No. 4) -- 2-for-3, 3 R, HR, 3 RBI, 2 BB (Class A Asheville)
Make that back-to-back multihit performances for Lavigne, who also hit his sixth homer of the season. The 19-year-old, a 2018 Draft pick, is hitting .247 through 111 games, but has caught fire lately and is hitting .351 through 10 games this month. Lavigne has plenty of raw power and although he hasn't tapped into it much, scouts are confident that the home runs will start to come as Lavigne continues to develop. Rockies prospects stats »
