Phillies Back in Town for First Time in 2019

MLK Day of Service to kick off week of player appearances throughout the Delaware Valley; Phillies' Gabe Kapler, Rhys Hoskins and Aaron Nola among lineup

Starting on Monday, January 21, the Phillies are back in town to take part in a fan-fueled week of events, including player selfie opportunities, Minor League banquets, a free baseball clinic, a Shred Hate anti-bullying school event, the Phillies College Winter Summit and more.
Among those participating are Phillies manager Gabe Kapler, outfielder Dylan Cozens, first baseman Rhys Hoskins, catcher Andrew Knapp, pitcher Hector Neris, pitcher Aaron Nola, pitcher Nick Pivetta, outfielder Nick Williams and other special guests including the Phillie Phanatic and Phillies broadcasters.

MLK Day of Service Events:
24th Annual Greater Philadelphia Martin Luther King Day of Service; 9 a.m., Girard College, 2101 S. College Avenue, Philadelphia, Pa. The Phillie Phanatic will join an expected 150,000 volunteers to help out on service projects throughout the region, organized by Global Citizen. One of these service projects will take place at the Franklin S. Edmonds Elementary School, 8025 Thouron Ave., Philadelphia, Pa., at 9:30 a.m. Volunteers from the Phillies front office will join YouthBuild Philadelphia to create murals inside the school and work on a construction project.
MLK Weekend Celebration Sponsored by Citizens Bank: Photos with Nick Williams; Plus the Phillie Phanatic! 10:30 a.m., African American Museum, 701 Arch St., Philadelphia, Pa. Nick Williams and the Phillie Phanatic will be at the African American Museum in Philadelphia to take part in MLK Day activities. Nick Williams, Phillies Ambassador Mickey Morandini and Phillies Alumni Milt Thompson to Pitch-In at MLK RBI Baseball Clinic at the Phillies UYA sponsored by your local Chevy dealers; 12 p.m., Phillies MLB Urban Youth Academy Indoor Training Center, located at the Marian Anderson Recreation Center, 740 South 17th St., Philadelphia, Pa. Phillies RBI players will be treated to a free baseball clinic with guest instructors: Nick Williams, Mickey Morandini, Milt Thompson and RBI alumni!

Aaron Nola to Help Shred Hate at Anti-Bullying School Visit, 10 a.m., Hopkinson Elementary School, 4001 L St., Philadelphia, Pa. Aaron Nola, along with MLB Vice President & Special Assistant to the Commissioner Billy Bean, Phillies broadcaster Tom McCarthy, and the Phillie Phanatic, will surprise over 400 students with a special Shred Hate assembly and share tips on how they can spread kindness at their school. Phillies College Winter Summit, 4-7 p.m., Phillies Diamond Club at Citizens Bank Park. In addition to lunch provided by Papa John's, activities include crafts, a photo booth and prize wheel. The event will conclude with a Phanatic Dance Party with all family members, with music provided by DJ Timmy DeMoss.
