Horst to continue rehab assignment at Triple-A

PHILADELPHIA -- Phillies left-hander Jeremy Horst will continue his rehab assignment Tuesday with Triple-A Lehigh Valley.

He hopes to pitch in back-to-back games with the IronPigs on Thursday and Friday.

"I feel really good," said Horst, who has been on the disabled list since June 16 with a sprained left elbow. "It's the first time I've been pain free in a long time."

Horst was 0-2 with a 6.23 ERA in 28 appearances before he landed on the 15-day disabled list.

"It's been a crazy year," he said. "I feel like being young and being the first time through the league, and all of a sudden, these guys know who I am. They're coached to know. It is a challenge mentally to figure out how to go about getting these guys out on a consistent basis and inventing different ways and coming up with different stuff."
