Players of the Week

Player: INF Kendall Simmons, Williamsport… Simmons, 19, batted .400 (6-15) with a double, two triples, two home runs, five RBI, two walks, a 1.133 slugging percentage and 1.633 OPS in four games. It was Simmons’ second consecutive Phillies Minor League Player of the Week Award and he was also named a New York Penn-League All-Star. The Georgia native, who ranks second in the NYPL with 11 homers, was selected by the Phillies in the sixth round of the June 2018 draft.

Pitcher: LHP Ethan Lindow, Clearwater… The 20-year-old Lindow made two starts for Clearwater, posting a 0.82 ERA (1 ER, 11.0 IP), striking out 10 batters and walking none. He struck out six batters in 5.0 innings of one-run ball on August 12 and followed that with 6.0 shutout innings in his next start, lowering his season ERA to 2.47 across two levels. Lindow was selected by the Phillies in the fifth round of the June 2017 draft.
