Phillies 'Pay It Forward' During "Summer Week of Giving," 7/23-31

Starting on Monday, July 23, the Phillies are hosting their annual Summer Week of Giving featuring events to spread summer fun, as well as give back to the community and various organizations that provide valuable services to those in need.

Starting on Monday, July 23, the Phillies are hosting their annual Summer Week of Giving featuring events to spread summer fun, as well as give back to the community and various organizations that provide valuable services to those in need.
Among those participating are Phillies pitcher Jake Arrieta and his wife Brittany, club ambassador Mickey Morandini, the Phillies Wives and other special guests including the Phillie Phanatic and Phillies Ballgirls.

Friday, July 20 - Tuesday, July 31
Phillies Wives Pro-Pack Auction featuring player's favorite things; Phillies players favorite items are up for bid! The Phillies Wives will host a Pro-Pack Auction benefitting Phillies Charities, Inc. Fans everywhere can bid on Pro-Packs filled with the favorite items of Phillies players, coaches and the Phanatic, including signed baseball memorabilia and hobby items such as favorite books, games, music, restaurant gift cards, movies and baseball equipment. All bidding will be through the Ballpark app starting on Friday, July 20, until Tuesday, July 31. Fans holding tickets to the Phillies games on Sunday, July 22, and Wednesday, July 25, can view each Pro-Pack at the First Base Gate Plaza and meet the Phillies Wives.
Monday, July 23 
Phillie Phanatic's Summer Senior Bingo Party; 2:00 p.m., Holy Redeemer St. Joseph Manor, 1616 Huntingdon Pike, Meadowbrook, Pa. Over 100 seniors will be treated to a special game of Phillies bingo featuring the Phillie Phanatic, Phillies Ballgirls and Scott Palmer, Phillies Director of Public Affairs.

Jake & Brittany Arrieta make special "Phillies CARE-a-van" trip, delivering Rita's Italian Ice to patients, 11 a.m., Anthony N. Fusco, Sr. Atrium at the Nemours/Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children, 1600 Rockland Road, Wilmington, De. Over 150 patients will enjoy a cool summer treat when the Phillies CARE-a-van with Rita's Italian Ice visits Nemours/Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children, the official children's hospital of the Phillies. Attendees will have some fun with Phillies pitcher Jake Arrieta and his wife Brittany while enjoying Rita's Italian Ice! Also taking part is the Phillie Phanatic, Phillies Ballgirls and Scott Palmer.
Wednesday, July 25
Phillies Ballgirls to host ballpark-wide "Christmas in July" Toy Drive for kids in need, Starts 11 a.m., All Gates at Citizens Bank Park, One Citizens Bank Way, Philadelphia, Pa. The Phillies Ballgirls will host their annual Christmas in July Toy Drive at all gates before and during that day's 12:35 p.m. Phillies-Dodgers game until the bottom of the third inning. Fans who donate new, unwrapped toys will receive a BOGO ticket offer on select dates. The toys will be delivered during the holiday season in December to surprise children in need through local community groups.

Phillies Front Office to host "Give Back Day," to help youth in dependent care at Valley Youth House, 10 a.m., The Achieving Independence Center at the Valley Youth House, 1415 North Broad Street, Suite 100, Philadelphia, Pa. Members of the Phillies Front Office will visit the Achieving Independence Center in North Philadelphia as part of the Phillies Give Back employee volunteer program. Phillies employees will assist with painting, general maintenance and mentoring of some of the program's participants. The Achieving Independence Center provides youth in dependent care with many necessary life skills and resources.

Mickey Morandini, Phillies & Liberty USO to deliver school supplies to kids whose military parents are serving overseas, 11:30 p.m., The Yard at Citizens Bank Park, One Citizens Bank Way, Philadelphia, Pa. The Phillies and Liberty USO, with help from Phillies club ambassador Mickey Morandini, will distribute over 800 school supplies to local military families whose family members are currently away from home serving our country. All items were donated by fans during the Phillies' recent Fourth of July "Rucksacks to Backpacks" collection. Plus, the group will enjoy a party in The Yard and lunch provided by Chickie's and Pete's.
