1/23/19: Phillies Shred Hate Event

It's cool to be kind - and Major Leaguers are stepping up to the plate with elementary students to "Shred Hate" at a surprise assembly as part of an effort to help end bullying in Philadelphia schools. Phillies pitcher Aaron Nola, along with Major League Baseball's Vice President & Special Assistant to the Commissioner Billy Bean, broadcaster Tom McCarthy, and the Phillie Phanatic, will make the pitch to choose kindness at a fun, interactive assembly with 400+ elementary school students at Hopkinson Elementary School in support of the Shred Hate initiative - an innovative program striving to end bullying in schools and communities by encouraging youth to choose kindness.
