Due to the unprecedented situation across the country regarding the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19), Pirates Charities is following the recommendation of the CDC and Major League Baseball regarding gatherings of more than 50 people for the next eight weeks; as such, we have made the decision to cancel this event set for April 25, 2020.
If you already signed up for the 5K 10K, registrants will receive a full refund on the original method of payment. Please allow up to two weeks for your refund to process.

5K RUN/WALK AND TEAM CHALLENGE
- All 5K runners and walkers will be electronically timed.
- Chips will be pre-assigned and distributed at packet pick-up (or mailed to you, based upon your selection).
- Staggered start times will be assigned.
- Runners will receive a tech shirt and a ticket voucher good for a complimentary ticket to the Pirates vs. Dodgers game at PNC Park on Saturday, April 25, 2020, or another Monday - Thursday 2020 Pirates Home Game at PNC Park of your choice (Opening Day and Interleague Play excluded)
- All 5K runners will receive a specially-designed commemorative medal upon completion of the race!
- 5K course will close at 9:20 a.m.
10K RUN AND TEAM CHALLENGE
- All 10K runners will be electronically timed.
- Chips will be pre-assigned and distributed at packet pick-up (or mailed to you, based upon your selection).
- Staggered start times will be assigned.
- Runners will receive a tech shirt and a ticket voucher good for a complimentary ticket to the Pirates vs. Dodgers game at PNC Park on Saturday, April 25, 2020, or another Monday - Thursday 2020 Pirates Home Game at PNC Park of your choice (Opening Day and Interleague Play excluded).
- All 10K runners will receive a specially-designed commemorative medal upon completion of the race!
- 10K course will close at 9:20 a.m.
RACE PACKETS
Participants can pick up race packets on race day beginning at 6:00 a.m. or in advance at the Pirates Administrative Offices, located on the corner of Federal and West General Robinson Streets (please see dates and times below). Packets contain a runner's bib with embedded chip (for all participants), a game ticket voucher, and a tech shirt voucher. Game ticket vouchers can be redeemed online or exchanged at the PNC Park Ticket Office (Hours: Monday-Friday: 9 a.m.-5:30 p.m.; Saturday: 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.; Game days: 9 a.m. - 15 minutes after end of game). Shirt vouchers can be redeemed during advance packet pick-up or on race day only.
Please note: registrations placed after 1 p.m. on 4/17/20 will not be available at weekend packet pickup and will need to be picked up on race morning or at packet pickup beginning on 4/20/20.
Advance Packet and/or Tech Shirt Pick-up Dates and Times at the Pirates Administrative Offices:
- Saturday, April 18: 10 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. EST
- Monday, April 20: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. EST
- Tuesday, April 21 and Friday, April 24: 10 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. EST
(Please note: The Pirates are playing on April 21 and April 24 at 7:05 p.m. at PNC Park)
TECH T-SHIRTS / PIRATES GAME TICKETS
All 5K and 10K participants will receive a tech shirt and a ticket voucher good for a complimentary ticket to the Pirates vs. Dodgers game at PNC Park on Saturday, April 25, 2020, or another Monday - Thursday 2020 Pirates Home Game at PNC Park of your choice (Opening Day and Interleague Play excluded).
Please note: if you elect to have your packet mailed to you, your t-shirt will NOT be mailed. You will receive a voucher that can be redeemed at packet pick-up or on race day.
2020 RACE NOTIFICATION EMAIL
Registration for the 2020 race ensures participants will receive early notification via email regarding the 2021 race.
CANCELLING A REGISTRATION
Please email [email protected] if you have registered and cannot participate in the race. Your registration fee is non-refundable.
