Pirates to offer "How Many Ks" promotion

The Pittsburgh Pirates today announced fans will save each time the Pirates pitching staff strikes out a batter during the first two games of the team's series at the New York Mets with the "How Many Ks" promotion. The fan-value promotion, a new take on the popular "You Score as the Bucs Score," will allow fans an opportunity to save one dollar for every strikeout on Thursday, May 9 and Friday, May 10 when the team visits the New York Mets at Citi Field as part of a four-game series.

For every strikeout the Pirates pitching staff records during the two games in New York, fans will receive one dollar off the purchase price of Lower Outfield Box and Outfield Box seats for a game during the week of Monday, May 13 thru Friday, May 17 as the Pirates host the Milwaukee Brewers for a four-game series and the Houston Astros on Friday. The regular advance purchase price for Lower Outfield Box seats is $32, while Outfield Box seats are $28, so if the Pirates strike out a total of 15 batters during the two games against the Mets, individual tickets will be made available for just $17 per game in the Lower Outfield Box section and $13 in the Outfield Box section throughout the following week.
