Venezuelan Winter League

Caracas 11, Aragua 0
Gerardo Parra led Caracas' offensive onslaught by going 4-for-5 with four RBIs in a rout of Aragua. The D-backs outfielder is now hitting .389 with a 1.082 OPS in 16 games this season. Bobby Abreu went 2-for-4 with a double, and Guillermo Moscoso tossed seven innings of three-hit ball for Caracas. Box score

Lew Ford went 3-for-4, while Adonis Garcia and Ramon Hernandez each added two hits for Magallanes. Leslie Anderson, Jose Castillo, Cory Aldridge and Alexi Amarista each had two hits for Caribes. Box score

After scoring three first-inning runs, Los Mochis was able to cruise to the victory. Jake Fox had a great night, going 2-for-4 with a three-run home run and four RBIs. Aguilas 5, Licey 4
Behind a three-run sixth inning, Aguilas held on for the victory. Those three runs came on a three-run home run by Wilin Rosario with none out in the inning. Francisco Pena also went 2-for-4 with a double and two RBIs. Francisco Rosario took his first loss of the season and Kelvin Villa got the win. Box score

Escogido 11, Toros 1
Scoring in four straight innings, Escogido blew out Toros Thursday night, going 8-for-17 with runners in scoring position and belting out 13 hits. Erick Almonte and Erik Gonzalez each had two hits and three RBIs. Carlos Pimentel stayed perfect on the season, improving to 5-0 with a 1.67 ERA. Claudio Vargas took the loss. Box score

Down by a run going into the ninth inning, Gigantes scored four runs in the final frame to secure the comeback victory.
