The Pirates return to PNC Park for the 12th and final homestand of the season, a six-game stop vs the Kansas City Royals and Milwaukee Brewers.
The homestand is highlighted by the Pirates and PNC teaming up to present Fan Appreciation Week. Each day, the Pirates will partner with PNC Bank to make a difference in the community and give back to Pirates fans throughout the greater Pittsburgh area. 
You Score as the Bucs Score Promo: The Pirates ran a special "You Score as the Bucs Score" promotional offer during the three-game series in Milwaukee from September 14-16 as a special thank you to our fans for the support shown throughout the 2018 season. For every run the Buccos scored, fans received $1 off ticket prices for the entire final homestand. The Pirates scored 10 total runs this past weekend, so thanks to the promotion, fans can purchase tickets for at a $10 discount at pirates.com/YouScore.

o    Teacher Appreciation Night: In recognition of their tireless work throughout the year, the Pirates and PNC partnered to offer 2,500 area educators two free tickets to tonight's game.  
o    Row of the Game: Tonight, one lucky row will be chosen to receive $25 Pirates gift cards as part of our Fan Appreciation Week.
o    Pregame Check Ceremonies
    Pirates Charities will donate $5,000 to DonorsChoose.org. DonorChoose.org makes it easy for anyone to help a classroom in need, moving us closer to a nation where students in every community have the tools and experiences they need for a great education. Public school teachers from every corner of America create classroom project requests, and donors can give any amount to the project that inspires them.
    PNC's Grow Up Great will donate $5,000 to Allegheny Intermediate Unit Head Start teacher Elizabeth Matesich to assist with school supplies. In addition, Matesich will toss out a first pitch before tonight's game.

o    Youth Baseball and Softball Night: In celebration of area baseball and softball, the Pirates and PNC partnered to offer 2,500 area youth baseball and softball players and coaches two free tickets to tonight's game.  
o   Row of the Game: Tonight, one lucky row will be chosen to receive $25 Pirates gift cards as part of our Fan Appreciation Week.
o    Pregame Check Ceremonies:
    Teams of the Game: The Pirates Charities 2018 Fields for Kids grant recipients will be honored during a pregame ceremony. This season, Pirates Charities distributed 34 grants, impacting 20 counties over three states through the Fields for Kids program.  
    Pirates Charities and PNC will partner to donate $20,000 to the Humane Animal Rescue to assist them with securing heated surgical tables.  
•    Pups in the Park: Fans can enjoy Bucco baseball with their pooch as the Pirates host one of 11 Pup Nights, presented by Rachael Ray Nutrish, at PNC Park. Each ticket package (1 person & 1 dog) costs just $36 with additional human tickets available for $36 each. As part of tonight's Fan Appreciation Week, PNC will distribute special Pup Night bandanas to all Pup Night participants. o    First Responders Night: In recognition of their service to our communities, the Pirates and PNC partnered to offer 2,500 area first responders two free tickets to tonight's game.

o    Pregame Ceremonies:
    First Pitch: Tonight, in celebration of First Responders Appreciation Night, the Pirates will welcome Pittsburgh Police Chief Scott Schubert; Pittsburgh Fire Chief Darryl Jones; and Pittsburgh EMS Chief Bob Farrow, who recently retired after 43 years of service, as the three will join together in a pregame ceremony and throw out the game-time first pitch.
•    Pirates Community Commitment Program: Tonight, the Pirates will recognize one player from each of the team's minor league affiliates as the recipients of the organization's annual Pirates Community Commitment Program awards in an on-field pregame ceremony. The Community Commitment Program encourages players throughout the Pirates system to emulate Roberto Clemente's legacy of community service. 
•    Kids Marte Jersey: Today, all kids ages 14 and younger, with paid admission, will receive a Starling Marte replica Pirates Sunday gold jersey, presented by Chevrolet.
•    Zambelli Fireworks Night: Fans are encouraged to stay in their seats immediately following the game and enjoy an amazing Zambelli Fireworks International fireworks display.

•    Hampton Fields for Kids Event: Pirates Charities, in partnership with Hampton Athletic Association, will participate in the Grand Opening of three newly renovated fields at Hampton Community Park at 11 a.m. The Association will be dedicating newly constructed dugouts in memory of beloved coach Skip Palmer as well as two young players from the association who passed away from cancer. In 2017, Pirates Charities contributed a matching grant of $25,000 to the project through the Fields for Kids program. Minor League players, recipients of the Pirates Community Commitment Program awards, will be in attendance as well as the Pirate Parrot.
•    Fan Appreciation Week Happenings:
o    Nurses/Caregivers Appreciation Night: In recognition of their hard work and dedication, the Pirates and PNC partnered to offer 2,500 area nurses and caregivers two free tickets to tonight's game.
o    Row of the Game: Tonight, one lucky row will be chosen to receive $25 Pirates gift cards as part of our Fan Appreciation Week.
o    Childhood Cancer Awareness Night: For the third consecutive year, MLB and its Clubs will raise awareness for the fight against childhood cancer by having all Major League players, coaches, umpires and grounds crew wear gold ribbon decals and wristbands.
o    Childhood Cancer Celebrity Head-Shaving: The Pirates & Sport Clips present the "2018 BaseBALD Challenge", helping the St. Baldrick's Foundation conquer childhood cancers by hosting a pregame head shaving event with players, coaches and front office employees. For every head shaved, Pirates Charities will donate to St. Baldrick's Foundation. The event will begin at 5 p.m. in the PNC Park Press Conference Room.
o    Superheroes: Tonight, Pirates Charities pediatric cancer guests will be recognized on-field during a pregame ceremony and will be given their very own Pirates superhero cape, by a member of the team, to assist them in their fight. Superheroes and their families will enjoy the game from our World Series Suites, courtesy of PNC, and will enjoy a dinner fit for a superhero, custom-created for them by Levy Cares.
•    Pirates Oktoberfest Stein: Tonight, the first 20,000 fans with paid admission will receive a Pirates Oktoberfest stein.
•    Carnival and Block Party on Federal St: Today on Federal Street from 2 p.m. to first pitch, the Pirates will host a special pregame carnival for all fans in addition to the Saturday Jim Beam Block Party. Fans are invited to come down early to join us before today's game for Pirates Carnival with games, prizes and more. In addition, the party on the street will include food and beer sales along with live music featuring Autobahn. Pirates alumni Steve Blass, John Candelaria, Doug Drabek, Bob Robertson and Grant Jackson will sign autographs beginning at 2 p.m. at the Leinenkugel Bar that will be located on Federal Street.
•    Season Ticket Holder Prize Locker: Tonight, the Pirates will host the second annual Pirates Prize Locker in the Picnic Park from 2 p.m. through the end of the game for Season Ticket Holders who have renewed their plans or who renew today. The Prize Locker is full of great promo items such as bobbleheads, tees and more.
Sunday, September 23, 2018 -- Pirates vs. Milwaukee Brewers (1:35 p.m.) -- Kids Day
•    Brunch with Clint: Pirates Charities and Manager Clint Hurdle will host members of the Prader-Willi Syndrome Association's PA chapter for a pregame brunch, entertainment and meet and greet in PNC Park's Press Conference Room at 11:15 a.m. The participants will enjoy brunch, balloon artists, caricatures, games and more before they watch the afternoon game.
•    Fan Appreciation Week Happenings:
o    Fan Appreciation Day: Throughout today's game, prizes will be given out to select ticket holders as part of the Pirates Fan Appreciation Day. Prizes include gift cards, 2019 Pirates season tickets and more. In addition, the Pirates will be announcing seat locations of fans throughout the game who have been chosen for the opportunity to go onto the field post-game and receive a game-worn jersey autographed by a Pirates player.
o    Shred Hate: Today, the Pirates will host 50 students and teachers from each of the 23 Shred-Hate schools throughout the Pittsburgh area and recognize the group in a pregame on-field ceremony. Shred-Hate is an initiative supported by MLB, ESPN and the X Games, designed to address bullying within the schools. Pirates Charities is proud to sponsor this program along with the Pittsburgh Public Schools for the 2018/2019 school year. Before entering the ballpark, each student and teacher will receive a Pirates/Shred Hate wrist band and will be entered into a drawing for prizes, courtesy of the Pirates and PNC.  
•    Kids Day: Come down early and join the fun as the #1 Cochran Family Fun Zone will be open on Federal Street from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Lined up outside PNC Park will be inflatable rides, face painting, information about the Bucaroos Kids Club, presented by Chick-fil-A and more.
•    Pirates Kids Knit Hat: Today, all kids ages 14 and younger, with paid admission, will receive a Pirates 'Play Ball' knit cap, presented by Chevy.
•    Kids Run the Bases: Kids attending today's game are invited to stick around after to run the bases on the field at PNC Park with the Kids Run the Bases, presented by Rivendale.
•    University Night with Slippery Rock University: Tonight, the Pirates will host University Night with Slippery Rock University. •    Bucs Battle Bullying: The Pirates will host the second annual Bucs Battle Bullying Night at PNC Park. Come out and watch the Pirates take on the Milwaukee Brewers on Sunday, September 23 while raising awareness for anti-bullying initiatives. The first 1,000 ticket purchasers will have the opportunity to go on the field at PNC Park to be recognized during a special pre-game salute to those fighting bullying in schools and the community!
