Crew acquires infielder Saladino from Sox

April 20th, 2018

MILWAUKEE -- The Brewers sent cash to the White Sox on Thursday for versatile infielder and optioned the 28-year-old to Triple-A Colorado Springs.
Saladino has appeared at every position but pitcher and catcher for the White Sox over the past four seasons while hitting .231/.281/.330 with 12 home runs and 24 stolen bases in 863 career plate appearances. He made Chicago's Opening Day roster and was 2-for-8 to start the season.
To make room on their full 40-man roster, the Brewers designated well-traveled right-hander for assignment, two days after claiming him off waivers from the Dodgers.
