The Pirates have placed RHP Tyler Bashlor on the 10-day injured list with low back inflammation.

LHP Austin Davis (#75), who was on the club’s Taxi Squad for this road trip, has been recalled to take Bashlor’s place on the active roster.

The 27-year-old Davis was acquired from Philadelphia on August 26 in exchange for a player to be named and cash considerations. He made four relief appearances with the Phillies (3.0ip/10h/7r/7er/1bb/2so) this season, making his last one on August 13 vs. Baltimore, before being designated for assignment on August 21.

Davis has gone 1-2 with a 5.86 ERA (58.1ip/38er) in 50 career big league games; all with the Phillies. He made his Major League debut on June 20, 2018 and won his only Major League game on July 20, 2018.
