Was part of Blue Jays Player Pool and spent season at at Alternate Training Site in Rochester, N.Y...Did not appear in a game for Toronto...Elected free agency Nov. 2.

2019

Posted a 3.54 ERA in 30 relief outings...Held a 11.31 ERA in seven starts...Struck out all three batters on nine pitches in the 5th inning on April 14 vs. TB...Marked the 3rd immaculate inning in Blue Jays history, joining Roger Clemens (Sept. 18, 1997 at BOS) and Steve Delabar (July 30, 2013 at OAK)...Was the 1st ever thrown at Rogers Centre...Went on to retire all nine batters faced (4K)...Fanned five batters on May 28 at TB to tie a career best in a relief outing (also April 1, 2019 vs. BAL)....Struck out a career-high nine batters over 6.0 innings in a start on Aug. 3 at BAL (4H, 4ER, 1BB)...Optioned to Triple-A Buffalo on six occasions...Named International League Pitcher of the Week on July 1...Went 2-0 with 14 strikeouts in two starts (11.1 IP, 8H, 2ER).

Started his 2017 campaign with Lynchburg ... Made four starts in April without allowing an earned run (20.2 IP, 7H, 7BB/31K) and was named Carolina League Player of the Month ... Promoted to Double-A Akron after 27.2 scoreless innings over five starts for Lynchburg (10H, 7BB/39K) ... Threw 5.2 scoreless innings in his Double-A debut on May 8 vs. Trenton (3H, 3BB, 6K) ... Allowed his 1st earned run of the year on May 13 at Binghamton in the 2nd inning, ending his scoreless streak to begin the year at 34.2 innings... Earned the win in that seven-inning contest, which turned out to be the 1st complete game of his career ... Named a 2017 Eastern League Mid-Season All-Star after posting a 2.54 ERA over 12 starts for Akron ... Acquired by the Blue Jays with 2B Samad Taylor on July 31, 2017 in exchange for RHP Joe Smith ... Was then assigned to Double-A New Hampshire on Aug. 3...Made six starts for the Fisher Cats, going 1-2 with a 3.63 ERA ... Finished 2017 with the Eastern League lead in WHIP (1.09) and the 2nd-best ERA (2.92).
