A's agree to terms with 2nd round draft pick Logan Shore and two others

The Oakland A's agreed to terms with their second round selection in the 2016 First-Year Player Draft, right-handed pitcher Logan Shore from the University of Florida. The A's also agreed to terms with left-handed pitcher Ty Damron (15th round, Texas Tech) and catcher Collin Theroux (32nd round Oklahoma State).

The Oakland A's agreed to terms with their second round selection in the 2016 First-Year Player Draft, right-handed pitcher Logan Shore from the University of Florida. The A's also agreed to terms with left-handed pitcher Ty Damron (15th round, Texas Tech) and catcher Collin Theroux (32nd round Oklahoma State).
 
Shore was a First Team All-America selection by numerous organizations and Southeastern Conference Pitcher of the Year this year. He went 12-1 with a 2.31 ERA and .215 opponents batting average in 18 starts with Florida. The right-handed junior had 96 strikeouts and just 19 walks in 105.1 innings.
 
Damron went 4-2 with a 6.52 ERA in 14 games, 13 starts for Texas Tech. Theroux is from San Mateo and graduated from Serra HS.
 
The A's have now signed or agreed to terms with 34 of their 41 selections from the draft, including each of the first 20 and 33 of the first 35.
