The Oakland A's reinstated right-handed pitcher Jesse Hahn from the 10-day disabled list and optioned first baseman/outfielder Matt Olson to Triple-A Nashville, the club announced today.
Hahn was 1-4 with a 3.81 ERA in nine games (eight starts) when he placed on the DL May 27 retroactive to May 24 with a strained right shoulder. He was sent to Single-A Stockton on a rehab assignment last Wednesday and started that day against Lancaster. Hahn had a no decision in the Ports 3-2 win, allowing two runs on four hits and a walk while striking out four in 5.1 innings. He is 0-3 with a 5.70 ERA over his last five starts with the A's, which matches the longest losing streak of his career.
Olson was recalled from Nashville on Saturday for his second stint with the A's and appeared in one game on Sunday against Washington, walking as a pinch hitter with the bases loaded. He went 0-for-3 with two strikeouts in one game in right field during his first stint from April 21 to 26. Olson is batting .285 with 14 home runs and 37 RBI in 47 games with Nashville.
