A's Reinstate RHP Kendall Graveman from the DL; Option RHP Daniel Gossett

The Oakland A's reinstated right-handed pitcher Kendall Graveman from the 10-day disabled list and optioned right-handed pitcher Daniel Gossett to Triple-A Nashville, the club announced today.

The Oakland A's reinstated right-handed pitcher Kendall Graveman from the 10-day disabled list and optioned right-handed pitcher Daniel Gossett to Triple-A Nashville, the club announced today.
Graveman was the A's Opening Day starting pitcher and was 2-0 with a 2.00 ERA and .203 opponents batting average in three starts when he was placed on the DL the first time retroactive to April 15 with a strained right shoulder. He was reinstated April 27 and went 0-2 with a 4.97 ERA and .289 opponents average in five starts before returning to the DL with a right shoulder strain May 26. The 26-year-old right-hander was sent to Nashville on a rehab assignment July 19 and went 0-1 with a 7.20 ERA and .383 opponents batting average in three starts.
Gossett was 3-6 with a 5.09 ERA and .281 opponents batting average in 10 starts with Oakland in his Major League debut. He walked just 13 batters in 54.0 innings but surrendered 11 home runs. Gossett began the season at Nashville and was 3-3 with a 3.41 ERA in 11 starts with the Sounds before he was selected by the A's June 14.
