The Oakland A's released outfielder Ryan LaMarre, the club announced today. LaMarre was designated for assignment on Saturday when the A's selected right-handed pitcher Michael Brady.

The Oakland A's released outfielder Ryan LaMarre, the club announced today. LaMarre was designated for assignment on Saturday when the A's selected right-handed pitcher Michael Brady.
 
LaMarre was acquired from the Los Angeles Angels April 23 for a player to be named later or cash and was optioned to Nashville. He was recalled April 25 and went 0-for-7 with a walk in three games before he was optioned May 1. LaMarre hit .240 with 12 RBI in 41 games with the Sounds and is batting .247 with no home runs, 19 RBI and nine stolen bases in 51 Triple-A games overall.
