A's to host 510 day during upcoming homestand

Free parking tuesday: All fans will enjoy free parking.

Dick Callahan 1,000th game: A’s PA announcer Dick Callahan will be behind the mic for his 1,000th game. Callahan will be celebrated on the field prior to the start of the game and will throw out the ceremonial first pitch.

Community corner flash sale: KD2 T-shirts will be available at the Community Corner behind Section 218 for $20, while supplies last.

Teachers’ night out: The A’s will host Bay Area teachers for Teachers’ Night Out. Individuals with a special event ticket will receive an exclusive Teachers’ Night Out T-shirt.

Wednesday, May 8 | 7:07 p.m.

Championship plaza: Championship Plaza will be closed and food trucks will be located in A Lot.

St. Mary’s night: Fans with a special event ticket will receive a co-branded A’s/St. Mary’s crew neck sweatshirt.

Green stampede: The A’s will host the Green Stampede Homework Club to the Coliseum. Through Green Stampede, elementary school students visit the ballpark to receive help with their homework from tutors and then stay for the game.

Thursday, May 9 | 12:37 p.m.

Sports career education day: The A’s will host Sports Career Education Day at the Coliseum. Students will participate in a pregame panel discussion with A’s front office staff members, attend a college fair, and stay for the game.

Bike to work day: The A’s will participate in the City of Oakland’s annual Bike to Work Day, which encourages people to try the “no-pollute commute” to reduce air pollution, stay healthy and fit, save money, and ease street congestion. Stomper will join the bike ride from the Fruitvale BART Station to Oakland City Hall at 7 a.m. 

Friday, May 10 | 6:37 p.m.

Hospital visit with players: A’s players will visit the Pediatric Intesive Care Unit at Kaiser Medical Center from 11 a.m. to noon. They will also meet and thank nurses as part of National Nurses Week.

510 day: The A’s will celebrate the unique culture of Oakland and the East Bay on 510 Day - a nod to the longstanding area code that covers most of the East Bay. The day will include a pregame festival on Championship Plaza; an equipment drive benefitting the Boys & Girls Clubs of Oakland; on-field recognition of local “heroes;” postgame fireworks; an art station with the Illuminaries; and more.

Youth baseball & softball day: The A’s will host local youth baseball and softball teams, plus their families, coaches, and friends, for Youth Baseball and Softball Day.

Diageo sampling: Diageo will sample their Bulleit and Don Julio drinks on The Treehouse Plaza before the game for fans 21+.

A's cast: A’s Cast will go live from the Coliseum at 4 p.m.

Ceremonial first pitches: Alameda County District 4 Supervisor Nate Miley and Oakland City Councilmember Larry Reid will throw out the ceremonial first pitches.

Equipment drive: The A’s are teaming up with the Baseball Tomorrow Fund and Pitch In For Baseball and Softball to host an equipment drive. Fans who bring in new or gently used baseball and softball equipment to C Gate, D Gate, or the BART Plaza Entrance will receive two free tickets to a future A’s regular season home game.

Check presentation: The A’s will present a $5,000 grant from the Baseball Tomorrow Fund to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Oakland before the game.

Community corner flash sale: Gold-dipped Matt Chapman bobbleheads will be available at the Community Corner behind Section 218 for $100, while supplies last.

A’s volunteer green team: The A’s Volunteer Green Team will collect recyclables around the ballpark during specific inning breaks. Fans can sign up for this and other A’s Volunteer Team events at athletics.com/volunteer.

Postgame fireworks: Fans are invited onto the outfield grass following the game to enjoy East Bay Hip-Hop Fireworks presented by Cal State East Bay.

Saturday, May 11 | 1:05 p.m.

A’s play ball: The team will host A’s PLAY BALL presented by Bank of America at Lincoln Square Park in Oakland from 10 a.m. to noon. Fans, families, and kids are invited to join us for family-friendly baseball and softball activities, including pick-up style baseball games, skill stations, and more.

Cal Ripken & Babe Ruth youth baseball day: The A’s will host youth players, coaches, families, and friends from Cal Ripken & Babe Ruth Youth Baseball for a pregame festival and on-field parade.

Mother’s day suite: The A’s will host the 10 winners, plus their guests, from the A’s Families Mother’s Day contest in a suite. To enter, fans were asked to write about someone who has made a significant impact in their life.

Sunday, May 12 | 1:07 p.m.

Breast cancer awareness day: The A’s will host Breast Cancer Awareness Day to honor and celebrate those who have battled breast cancer. Survivors will participate in a pregame ceremony on the field. Fans at the game can hold up cheer cards in honor of a loved one during a moment of silence.

Silent auction: The Oakland A’s Community Fund will host a silent auction behind Section 120 until the end of the third inning. Fans can bid on A’s items, including game-used and autographed memorabilia.
