Atlanta Braves infielder Adonis Garcia underwent surgery on Monday, June 12, to repair ligament damage in his left ring finger.

Atlanta Braves infielder Adonis Garcia underwent surgery on Monday, June 12, to repair ligament damage in his left ring finger. Garcia, who was placed on the 10-day disabled list on June 7, is expected to miss approximately two months of action. The procedure was performed by Dr. Gary Lourie in Atlanta.
Garcia, 32, is in his third season in the Braves organization. He owns a .247 batting average in 38 games this season, with four home runs and 16 RBI.
Garcia made his Major League debut with Atlanta in 2015 and has played in 230 games while posting a .269 batting average, 28 home runs and 107 RBI. He has averaged 20 home runs, 52 extra-base hits and 75 RBI per 162 games played in his career.
