Angels host Texas and Oakland in 6-game homestand

The Angels return for their 12th and final homestand after facing the Athletics and Astros. The homestand begins Monday at 7:07 p.m. vs. the Rangers (Monday, September 24 - Wednesday, September 26). Following the three game series and an off day, the homestand will conclude with the Athletics (Friday, September 28 - Sunday, September 30).

The Angels return for their 12th and final homestand after facing the Athletics and Astros. The homestand begins Monday at 7:07 p.m. vs. the Rangers (Monday, September 24 - Wednesday, September 26). Following the three game series and an off day, the homestand will conclude with the Athletics (Friday, September 28 - Sunday, September 30). Below is a look at the notable events and ceremonies taking place at Angel Stadium during the homestand:
TEAM AWARDS

• The 2018 Team MVP Award winner, Mike Trout, will be honored in a pre-game ceremony prior to Friday's game.
• The 2018 Nick Adenhart Award winner, Andrew Heaney, will be honored in a pre-game ceremony prior to Friday's game.
• Both awards are voted on by fellow player and coaches.
FAN APPRECIATION DAY

• The Angels will recognize their fans by hosting festivities throughout Angel Stadium on Saturday.
• There will be pre- and in-game opportunities to win prizes for fans. These promotions will be featured on Angels' social channels for a chance to win.
• Fans in attendance will receive a Mike Scioscia Bobblehead courtesy of Angels Radio AM830 while supplies last.
BOY SCOUTS NIGHT

• Boy Scouts from the southern California area will be recognized at Angel Stadium on Thursday.
• Scouts from Troop 295, 660 and 525 will respectively be the Bat Kid, throw out the First Pitch, and announce the ceremonial "play ball."
JAPAN DAY

The Angels will host Japan Day presented by Japan Airlines from 2 to 5 p.m. on Saturday. Complimentary pre-game celebrations will take place in the parking lot of Angel Stadium near the Home Plate Gate and big hats.
Event highlights will include:

• A scheduled appearance by Shohei Ohtani & Junichi Tazawa for a special onstage interview (player appearances are subject to change and based on availability)
• Promotional giveaways by Angels Radio AM830
• Angels Sponsor booths and giveaways
• Cultural activities, including: taiko drumming, traditional dances, origami, ikebana (Japanese flower arrangements), tea ceremony, and a kimono fashion show
• 2018 Nisei Week Queen Alice Amano will emcee the event
• Complimentary food sampling
• Discounted Angels and game used merchandise
• There will be a pre-game on-field Ninja performance and additional Fan Appreciation giveaways during the game vs. Oakland.
• In addition, one lucky fan will be selected to win a pair of economy class roundtrip tickets on Japan Airlines, from Los Angeles (LAX) to Japan.
OKTOBERFEST BEER FESTIVAL
• The Angels will host an Oktoberfest Beer Festival on Friday.
• Fans have a unique opportunity to purchase vouchers outside of Gate 1 for beer flights to be sampled in the Music Garden.
• The Music Garden will feature free Oktoberfest-themed festivities.
FIRST PITCH

• Angels alumni and All-Star, Shigetoshi Hasegaway, will throw out the first pitch prior to Saturday's game.
CEREMONIES
• St. Joseph's will be recognized in a ceremony prior to Monday's game.
• We Care Hero will be honored in a pre-game ceremony on Tuesday.
• There will be a pre-game ceremony honoring the R.B.I. League Equipment Drive on Wednesday.
• Perricone will be honored on Wednesday and present their total donation to the Angels Baseball Foundation. For every Angels home run this season, Perricone will donate $250 to the foundation.
• Angel Stadium's Employees of the Year (approx. 31 staff members) will be honored on-field prior to Friday's game.
• Fans in attendance of Saturday night's game will be treated to a postgame fireworks show presented by Wells Fargo.
• The Bud Good Sport program, signing up designated drivers at Angel Stadium, will be honored before Sunday's game.
GIVEAWAYS (while supplies last)

• Fans in attendance on Saturday will receive a Mike Scioscia Bobblehead presented by Angels Radio AM830 and a Team Photo while supplies last.
