Astros return to Minute Maid Park for home opener April 5

April 2nd, 2019

The Houston Astros return home to Minute Maid Park for an expected sold out 2019 Home Opener on Friday, April 5 as they take on the Oakland Athletics at 7:10 p.m. C.T. The game will be broadcast on MLB Network and AT&T SportsNet and on the Astros flagship radio stations SportsTalk 790 KBME and La Ranchera 850 AM/101.7 FM (Spanish). The Astros have recently released a few hundred select tickets for fans as well as standing room only tickets - fans are encouraged to visit Astros.com/tickets for the best available seats.

Single game tickets, season tickets, group tickets and suite rentals, which provide fans with the best value for the biggest games, are available now and selling out quickly, so fans are encouraged to purchase early. Tickets can be purchased online at Astros.com/tickets or by phone at 1-877-9ASTROS (1-877-927-8767).

As a reminder regarding tickets, all fans must either have their printed tickets in hand or utilize the MLB Ballpark App on their mobile devices to access Minute Maid Park and any Astros Street Fests. PDFs, screenshots or any photos of tickets on a mobile device will NOT be accepted, and the Astros will not be able to print tickets on-site.

As a part of the Astros ongoing commitment to the safety of all fans and in compliance with Astros security policies and other sports and entertainment venues around the country, there is no re-entry into the ballpark once fans are scanned in. Fans will also not be allowed to bring multi-zipper backpacks into the ballpark. Exceptions to this rule include diaper bags, single-compartment drawstring bags and other bags used for medical reasons. As usual, all bags will be searched prior to entry into the stadium.

In our continued effort to expedite entry and decrease the amount of time fans wait in line to get into the ballpark, the Astros have added a new entrance at Home Plate and increased the total amount of metal detectors at the entrances. Fans are still encouraged to arrive early, in order to avoid long lines and delays.

Limited parking for fans is available in Astros-secured lots A and B, with ample parking available in Astros-secured Lot C on game days. Fans are encouraged to arrive early in order to park in Astros-secured lots near the ballpark. Please note, these are cash-only lots.
