Ten high schools from Reds Country will play five games this weekend as part of the fifth annual “Big League Weekend” at Great American Ball Park.

Friday, April 26
McNicholas vs. Newport Central Catholic – 5 p.m.
Beechwood vs. Highlands – 8 p.m.
Saturday, April 27
Centerville vs. Milford – 10 a.m.
Edgewood vs. Harrison – 1 p.m.
Loveland vs. St. Xavier – 4 p.m.
“High school baseball is exciting to watch,” said Phil Castellini, Reds President and Chief Operating Officer. “The opportunity to play on a major league field is an unforgettable experience we hope inspires these players to continue their baseball careers past high school.”
Tickets for the Big League Weekend games will be available for purchase at the Reds ticket windows this Friday and Saturday. Each Big League Weekend ticket also includes a ticket to a select 2019 Reds home game.
The 10 teams playing at GABP are among the 91 teams from Greater Cincinnati, Northern Kentucky and Dayton featured in the Skyline Chili Reds Futures High School Showcase presented by Cincinnati Children’s Sports Medicine & Orthopaedics from April 6 to May 10. “This is an once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for these teams to play on a major league field,” said Tom Gamble, president of In-Game Sports. “And the games are another example of the Reds continuing to foster baseball in the Greater Cincinnati community.”
Gates to Great American Ball Park open at 4 p.m. on Friday and 9 a.m. on Saturday. Media interested in covering the games can enter GABP at the Dock #3 entrance on Pete Rose Way.
