PHOENIX - The Arizona Diamondbacks (@Dbacks) optioned RHP Vicente Campos to Triple-A Reno and will make a corresponding move tomorrow, as announced by D-backs Sr. Vice President & General Manager Dave Stewart.
Campos, 24, made his Major League debut with the D-backs on August 27 vs. Reds and worked 5.2 innings, allowing 3 runs (2 earned) on 4 hits and 2 walks with 4 strikeouts.
Campos was acquired from the New York Yankees on July 31 for RHP Tyler Clippard. This season, he is 10-5 with a 3.26 ERA (51 ER in 141.0 IP) in 24 combined starts with Mobile, Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, Double-A Trenton and Single-A Adv. Tampa.
