D-Backs recall Domingo Leyba from Triple-A Reno; Place David Peralta on 10-day injured list

PHOENIX -- The Arizona Diamondbacks recalled INF Domingo Leyba (@JuniorL07) from Triple-A Reno and placed OF David Peralta on the 10-day injured list (right AC joint inflammation), retroactive to July 4.

Leyba, 23, has hit .304 (92-for-303) with 26 doubles, 3 triples, 15 home runs, 54 RBI and 20 walks in 74 games with the Aces this season. He leads the Pacific Coast League in doubles and ranks eighth in total bases (169) and ninth in hits.

The switch-hitting infielder has played 4 games for the D-backs in 2019 and was 1-for-4 (.250). He made his Major League debut on June 22 vs. Giants and singled in his first at-bat off Mark Melancon.

Peralta, 31, is batting .289 (85-for-294) with 24 doubles, 2 triples, 9 home runs and 44 RBI in 73 games with the D-backs this season. He was removed from Wednesday’s game due to injury in the third inning.
