The Los Angeles Dodgers placed infielder Justin Turner on the 10-day disabled list with a right groin strain and recalled outfielder Alex Verdugo from Triple-A Oklahoma City on Monday.

The Los Angeles Dodgers placed infielder Justin Turner on the 10-day disabled list with a right groin strain and recalled outfielder Alex Verdugo from Triple-A Oklahoma City on Monday.
Turner, 33, goes on the disabled list for the second time this season after leaving yesterday's game against the Brewers in the third inning. In 50 games this season, the Long Beach native is hitting .259 along with five home runs and 20 RBI.
Verdugo, 22, will be making his second stint with the Dodgers this season after hitting .265 (9-for-34) with four doubles in nine games during April and May. In 67 games this season with OKC, he is batting .349 with 17 doubles, eight home runs, 37 RBI and four stolen bases.
