Dodgers recall LHP Edward Paredes

The Los Angeles Dodgers today recalled left-handed reliever Edward Paredes from Triple-A Oklahoma City and optioned right-hander J.T. Chargois to OKC.

The Los Angeles Dodgers today recalled left-handed reliever Edward Paredes from Triple-A Oklahoma City and optioned right-hander J.T. Chargois to OKC. 

Paredes, 31, will make his second stint with the big league club after appearing in one game for the Dodgers on May 3 against the Diamondbacks, tossing 0.2 innings of scoreless relief and hitting a batter. In 15 games with Triple-A OKC this season, the southpaw has gone 2-2 with two saves and has posted a 1.17 ERA (2 ER/15.1 IP), while limiting the opposition to a .204 average. Paredes has also struck out 19 batters in 15.1 innings with the OKC Dodgers.

Chargois, 27, made 20 relief appearances with the Dodgers this season, going 2-1 with a 4.76 ERA (9 ER/17.0 IP) and struck out 23 against 12 walks in 17.0 innings.
