Dodgers to host D-backs and Padres during holiday homestand

Star Wars Night, Justin Turner Bobblehead Night and two fireworks shows highlight homestand

LOS ANGELES – The first-place Los Angeles Dodgers, who have the best record in baseball, return home Tuesday and will take on the Arizona Diamondbacks (July 2-3) and San Diego Padres (July 4-7) during their six-game homestand.

The D-backs series will feature unique bobbleheads on both Tuesday and Wednesday. In celebration of Star Wars Night Tuesday, fans that purchase the Stars Wars ticket pack at Dodgers.com/StarWars will receive a Hyun Solo bobblehead featuring Dodger pitcher Hyun-Jin Ryu depicted as Han Solo. Wednesday marks Justin Turner bobblehead night presented by Budweiser, and fans will receive the collectible which portrays his memorable go-ahead home run in the eighth inning of Game 2 of the 2018 NLCS at Milwaukee.

The Dodgers will celebrate Independence Day Thursday with a special 6:10 p.m. start, post-game holiday fireworks presented by Budweiser and patriotic pregame ceremonies, which include a giant flag held by military members, a Joint Forces Color Guard, a flyover and a ceremonial first pitch from US Army Major General Jeff Broadwater. The Padres series will also include Friday Night Fireworks presented by Denny’s, a Cody Bellinger jersey giveaway presented by 76 on Saturday and the opportunity for kids to run the bases following Sunday’s series finale. Sunday will also mark Jewish Community Day, and fans that purchase the ticket pack at Dodgers.com/Events will receive a Dodgers kippah.

  • Flyover: California Air National Guard's 144th Fighter Wing.
