CHICAGO – Prior to tonight’s game vs. Baltimore, the Chicago White Sox recalled right-handed pitcher Dylan Covey from Class AAA Charlotte.

Covey, 27, is 0-0 with a 2.51 ERA (4 ER/14.1 IP) and 13 strikeouts in five games (three starts) with Charlotte this season. He made the White Sox Opening Day roster, going 0-1 with a 6.75 ERA (1 ER/1.1 IP) in two relief appearances before being optioned to the Knights on April 3.

Covey spent most of the 2018 season with the Sox, going 5-14 with a 5.18 ERA (70 ER/121.2 IP) and 91 strikeouts over 27 games (21 starts).
