Friday’s Twins – Tigers game postponed

Game will be made up as part of a split doubleheader on Saturday, May 11

The Minnesota Twins have announced that tomorrow’s (Friday, April 12) 7:10 p.m. game against the Detroit Tigers has been postponed due to inclement weather. The game will be made up as part of a split doubleheader on Saturday, May 11 at 7:10 p.m. following the originally scheduled 1:10 p.m. game.

Fans holding tickets purchased directly from the Minnesota Twins to tomorrow’s (April 12) postponed game have the following options:

  1. Utilize their tickets for admission into the rescheduled game.
  2. Utilize the value of their ticket (the amount paid) toward any future Twins regular season game in 2019. Fans may apply the paid value of their ticket to seats in any Target Field seating area, based on availability. Any exchanges must be made at the Target Field Ticket Office at least 48 hours prior to the rescheduled game.
  3. Twins Pass tickets for the postponed game are valid for the rescheduled game only and will appear in your ticket inventory approximately 2 hours prior to the rescheduled game. 
  4. Fans holding tickets to the “Game of Thrones” Theme Night ticket package should keep their tickets as they will be required for admission into the rescheduled game. The Game of Thrones theme night redemption will now take place before the Saturday, May 11th 7:10 p.m. game. 
  5. Tickets for the postponed game are not subject to refunds.

Important Note: Due to the discounts offered for the purchase of some tickets, the amount paid for the ticket (and thus the “value” of your ticket) may be different than the price printed on the ticket.

Target Field Postponed Game Policy

In the event a regulation game, as defined by Major League Baseball (i.e. 4 1/2 innings if the Twins are ahead and five full innings if the visiting team is ahead or the game is tied), is not played due to weather, an act of God or any other reason, the following policies will apply:

*If a game is postponed and rescheduled as a single game or part of a split doubleheader:

Fans holding tickets to a postponed game should keep their tickets as they will be required for admission into the rescheduled game. Fans who wish to exchange their tickets for another game must bring the tickets to the Target Field Ticket Office no later than 48 hours prior to the start of the rescheduled game. Tickets returned any later than 48 hours prior to the start of the rescheduled game will be valid only for the rescheduled game.

Suites, Thomson Reuters Champions Club, CATCH, Budweiser Roof Deck and Supercuts Super Seats

Due to their sold out status, tickets in the Suites, Thomson Reuters Champions Club, CATCH, Budweiser Roof Deck and Supercuts Super Seats will be valid only for the rescheduled game.

Season, Group and Single-Game Tickets

Tickets are valid for the rescheduled game. Season, Group and Single-Game ticket holders should keep their tickets from the postponed game as they will be required for admission into the rescheduled game.

Season, Group and Single-Game tickets purchased through the Minnesota Twins are also welcome to utilize the value of their ticket (the amount paid) towards any future Twins regular season game in 2019. Fans may apply the paid value of their ticket to seats in any Target Field seating area, based on availability. Important Note: Due to the discounts offered for the purchase of some tickets, the amount paid for the ticket (and thus the “value” of your ticket) may be different than the price printed on the ticket.

While fans are welcome to exchange for any 2019 regular season game/seating area, fans who apply the paid value of their ticket for higher-priced game/seating will be responsible for paying any resulting balance due. Refunds are not available to fans who elect to apply the paid value of their ticket to lesser priced game/seating area. Members of groups who are exchanging for the same “new” game and who wish to remain seated together should exchange their tickets at the same time and location. Any exchanges must be made at the Target Field Ticket Office at least 48 hours prior to the rescheduled game.

Season, group and single-game tickets for the remainder of the 2019 season at Target Field are available via the MLB Ballpark App, at twinsbaseball.com, by calling 612-33-TWINS (612-338-9467) or 800-33-TWINS (800-338-9467), or in-person at the Target Field Ticket Office. Please note that the deadline to purchase 2019 Twins Pass ticket packages is Wednesday, April 24 (those purchasing a Twins Pass now will have game access beginning May 1).
