Mariners outright RHP Casey Lawrence to AAA Tacoma

Seattle Mariners Executive Vice President & General Manager of Baseball Operations Jerry Dipoto announced that right-hander Casey Lawrence was outrighted to Triple-A Tacoma.

SEATTLE, Wash. - Seattle Mariners Executive Vice President & General Manager of Baseball Operations Jerry Dipoto announced today the following roster move:
Seattle's 40-man roster is now at 39 players.
Lawrence, 30, was 2-0 with a 5.57 ERA (26 ER, 42.0 IP) with 45 strikeouts in 23 relief appearances with the Mariners this season after being acquired off waivers from the Toronto Blue Jays on May 11. That included posting a 1-0, 0.00 mark (0 ER, 7.0 IP) in his final 6 games. Combined between Seattle and Toronto in 2017, he was 2-3 with a 6.34 ERA (39 ER, 55.1 IP) with 52 strikeouts and 25 walks in 27 games, including 2 starts.
Lawrence had four separate stints with Seattle this year: May 17-June 2, June 12-13, July 28-Aug. 15 and Aug. 19-end of season. He earned his first Major League win Aug. 1 at Texas. With AAA Tacoma, he was 2-4, 4.08 (26 ER, 57.1 IP) with 41 strikeouts in 11 games, including 7 starts. He began the year by posting an 0-3, 8.78 mark (13 ER, 13.1 IP) in 4 games, 2 starts, with the Blue Jays.
