The New York Mets today announced that they have activated RHP Zack Wheeler from the 10-Day Disabled List. Wheeler will start today vs. Philadelphia. In addition, New York placed outfielder Michael Conforto on the 10-Day DL, retroactive to June 28, with a bruised left hand. He is eligible to return from the DL on July 8.
Wheeler is 3-5 with a 5.29 ERA (39 earned runs/66.1 innings) in 13 starts this year.
Conforto was hitting .285 (63-221) with 14 doubles, 14 home runs and 41 RBI.
