The Mets have placed RHP Jeurys Familia on the Injured List, with a Bennett lesion in his right shoulder and optioned RHP Drew Gagnon to Syracuse (AAA). In addition, the Mets have selected the contract of RHP Stephen Nogosek from Syracuse (AAA) and recalled LHP Daniel Zamora from Syracuse (AAA). Nogosek was 2-0 with a 0.57 ERA (two earned runs/31.2 innings) in 19 combined games between Binghamton (AA) and Syracuse this year. Nogosek will wear #72. His first appearance will be his major league debut. Zamora will wear #73. He is 0-0 with a 6.00 ERA (four earned runs/6.0 innings) in 11 games with the Mets this year.
