Minnesota Twins Homestand Highlights, June 25-27

Twins vs. Tampa Bay Rays

June 24th, 2019

The first-place Minnesota Twins, who own the best record in the American League at 50-27 (.649) and an 8.0-game lead in the AL Central, return to Target Field for a brief, three-game homestand against the Tampa Bay Rays this Tuesday-Thursday (June 25-27).

TICKET AVAILABILTY

Tickets are available for all three games against the Rays and can be purchased at twinsbaseball.com, by using the MLB Ballpark app, by calling 612-33-TWINS (612-338-9467) or 800-33-TWINS (800-338-9467), or in-person at the Target Field Ticket Office.

HOLD YOUR PHONE POLICY

Fans can keep personal items (cell phone, keys, wallet, etc.) in their pockets while going through security at all Target Field gates (for more information on this and the team’s new bag policy, which takes effect July 5, visit twinsbaseball.com/entry).

Fans who come to the game without a bag (or a purse/clutch that is 9”x5” or under) are invited to use one of 14 Express Lanes; also, Season Ticket Holders can take advantage of Sweet Spot lanes at Gates 6 and 34. Gate 34 will also continue to house a dedicated CLEAR lane, available to fans with a pre-existing membership or who sign up for a free CLEAR Sports membership at Target Field.

Twins fans coming to Target Field are reminded to plan ahead, arrive early and consider all the transportation options available, whether you plan to drive, take transit, bike or walk.

“APOLLO AT THE PARK”

In conjunction with the Smithsonian’s National Air and Space Museum, the Twins are proud to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the first moon landing by displaying a full-sized statue of Neil Armstrong’s Apollo 11 spacesuit at Target Field. The statue is accessible to all fans, and is located just outside the Bat & Barrel entrance on the Delta SKY360° Club level.

Armstrong’s spacesuit was conserved and digitized thanks to funding from a successful Kickstarter campaign in 2015. The statue at Target Field was created using the Smithsonian’s 3-D scan of the spacesuit and made of a blend of rigid resin, for strength and durability, and hand painted. The suit statue has an interactive component where fans can use their phone cameras to scan parts of the suit, including the Apollo 11 patch, NASA logo, American flag and glove patch, to access videos and additional information about the Apollo 11 mission, astronauts and the anniversary. Fans are also encouraged to share photos of themselves with the suit by using the hashtag #SnapTheSuit. (More info on the suit can be found at https://airandspace.si.edu/apollo-park.)
