MLB to move Cubs 2017 season opener to Sunday, April 2

Major League Baseball today announced that the Chicago Cubs 2017 season opener against the St. Louis Cardinals at Busch Stadium has been moved to Sunday, April 2. The game is scheduled to start at 7:30 p.m. CT and will be televised exclusively to a national audience by ESPN.

Major League Baseball today announced that the Chicago Cubs 2017 season opener against the St. Louis Cardinals at Busch Stadium has been moved to Sunday, April 2. The game is scheduled to start at 7:30 p.m. CT and will be televised exclusively to a national audience by ESPN.
 
Due to this shift, the Cubs-Cardinals opening series will be adjusted as follows (all times Central):
 
Sunday, April 2: 7:30 p.m. at St. Louis Cardinals
 
Monday, April 3: OFF DAY
 
Tuesday, April 4: 7:15 p.m. at St. Louis Cardinals
 
Wednesday, April 5: 12:45 p.m. at St. Louis Cardinals
 
Thursday, April 6: OFF DAY
