Major League Baseball today announced that the MLB Remix powered by SoundCloud national contest is now available for fans to submit their creative remake of baseball’s most popular song, “Take Me Out to the Ballgame.” Fans will have the opportunity to showcase their musical talent and put their own personal flair on the classic anthem.

The entries, which can be submitted starting today, will be evaluated by a Rock & Roll Hall of Fame committee with submissions judged on creativity, instrumentation, and performance. The deadline for entries is Thursday, June 13 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern. 

PRIZES

The winner receives a trip to the 2019 MLB All-Star Game presented by Mastercard in Cleveland and all the festivities that week including the T-Mobile Home Run Derby, SiriusXM All-Star Futures Game, and MLB All-Star Celebrity Softball Game. Additionally, they will have the opportunity to showcase their talents and perform their rendition of “Take Me Out to the Ballgame” on stage at PLAY BALL PARK.

“With music being a central theme during the 2019 MLB All-Star Week, the MLB Remix contest is a great way for music creators to gain exposure while also celebrating baseball,” said MLB Director of Events, Jacqueline Secaira-Cotto. “We are excited to have SoundCloud and the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame join the process of making the contest wide-reaching, and we are looking forward to hearing the winner perform at PLAY BALL PARK in Cleveland.”

HOW TO ENTER

Participants can submit their remixed song in one of two ways:

1. Upload their remixed song to SoundCloud, or to a file hosting service, and post their public song link to their Twitter or Instagram account and include the contest hashtag, #MLBRemix in their post. Participants can also upload their song directly to their Twitter or Instagram.

2. Participants can also submit their song link on mlb.com/mlbremix
