The Orioles invite families to spend Mother’s Day Weekend at Oriole Park at Camden Yards as the Orioles take on the Los Angeles Angels from May 10-12.

On Saturday, May 11 at 4:05 p.m., the Orioles will host A League of Their Own Movie Night, presented by United Concordia, when the first 20,000 fans 15 and older will receive a “There’s No Crying In Baseball” t-shirt. Fans are invited to remain in the ballpark after the game to watch A League of Their Own on the center field video board. The club’s exclusive A League of Their Own theme night packages, which include a Rockford Peaches Cap and the opportunity to watch the movie from the field, are now sold out. To further celebrate the iconic movie, the Orioles will host former All-American Girls Professional Baseball League (AAGPBL) member and Rockford Peaches player, VIRGINIA VENTURA MANINA, to throw out the ceremonial first pitch. As a member of the 1951 and 1953 Rockford Peaches, Manina earned a spot on the team as a junior in high school and was part of the 1988 opening of the Women in Baseball exhibit at the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum in Cooperstown.

For Sunday’s 1:05 p.m. game against the Angels, all uniformed personnel will wear specially-designed, pink and black Orioles caps in celebration of Mother’s Day. Each authenticated, game-worn, and autographed cap will be auctioned at Orioles.com/auctions, with proceeds benefitting MedStar Health breast cancer research. Additionally, the Orioles will recognize ANN LAUGHTON as Sunday’s Birdland Community Hero. Laughton, a breast cancer survivor herself, has devoted her work to helping other breast cancer patients as the Program Coordinator at Survivors Offering Support (SOS), a volunteer organization for breast cancer patients to share their experiences and talk about issues they are facing with trained volunteers who have been through similar types of surgeries and treatments. The Orioles Charitable Foundation will make a $2,500 donation to SOS at MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center in support of the Birdland Community Heroes program.

Each Mother’s Day, Major League Baseball selects Honorary Bat Girls who will represent each MLB club in support of the annual “Going to Bat against Breast Cancer,” an initiative to raise awareness and funds for breast cancer research. This year, the Orioles are pleased to honor MELANIE VOHS, from Bel Air, Md., who is currently battling breast cancer and celebrating her first Mother’s Day. After being diagnosed when she was 22 weeks pregnant, and consulting with her doctors at MedStar Franklin Square Medical Group, Vohs has undergone extensive rounds of chemotherapy, and was fortunate to be able to continue her pregnancy and deliver a healthy baby girl, Morgan Olivia, this winter. Vohs will finish her 20th and final chemotherapy treatment this Thursday, May 9, just three days before celebrating her first Mother’s Day and throwing out the ceremonial first pitch prior to the game.

For the fifth consecutive Mother’s Day, the Orioles will welcome ADRIENNE ROBERSON, the public address announcer for the Double-A affiliate Bowie Baysox and mother of two, to serve as a guest PA announcer on both Saturday and Sunday.

As part of the Mother’s Day festivities, all fans 18 and over in attendance on Sunday will receive a Mother’s Day Infinity Bracelet.
