Padres to Host Diamondbacks for Final Homestand of the 2018 Season

The Padres return home from their 12th road trip of the season, an eight-day six-game trip, for their 13th and final homestand of the 2018 season, featuring three games against the Arizona Diamondbacks.

The Padres return home from their 12th road trip of the season, an eight-day six-game trip, for their 13th and final homestand of the 2018 season, featuring three games against the Arizona Diamondbacks. Action begins tomorrow with a 7:10 p.m. start against the Diamondbacks.
 
All fans in attendance will receive a Trevor Hoffman Replica Plaque presented by Life Proof or a Trevor Hoffman Replica Statue presented by ARCO.
 
Friday night will feature BeerFest presented by Southwest Airlines, featuring:
-Live entertainment and a wide selection of beers from a variety of local and national breweries at Park at the Park.
-First pour is at 4:30 p.m. with all beers specially priced at $5 and available for purchase with Friar Funds exclusively. Friar Funds can be pre-purchased here.
 
There will be a special press conference held prior to Friday's game to unveil the newly named Trevor Hoffman Way street sign at the intersection of Park Blvd and Tony Gwynn Drive. Representatives from the Padres will be joined by Mayor Kevin Faulconer and Councilmembers Chris Ward and Mark Kersey for the proclamation ceremony beginning at 5:30 p.m.
 
Native American Heritage Night presented by Sycuan Band of the Kumeyaay Nation is Friday, a night to recognize the San Diego Native American community, featuring:
-Pregame dance performances by the Sycuan Bird Singers in Park at the Park and along the first baseline as part of a special Native American Heritage celebration.

Friday will also serve as a First Responder Salute: Fire-Rescue Department presented by Qualcomm. Elements include:
-Representatives from the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department and CAL FIRE will line the baselines prior to Friday's game.
-Captain Isaac Sanchez from the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department will ring the Ceremonial Mission Bell.
-Accepting on behalf of the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department, Fire Chief Colin Stowell of the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department and Rachel Laing, San Diego Fire-Rescue Department Board Member, will be presented with a check by Padres Executive Chairman Ron Fowler and representatives from Qualcomm.
-New San Diego Fire-Rescue Chief Colin Stowell will throw the Ceremonial First Pitch.
-Nine representatives from the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department will take the field to greet Padres starters at their positions.
 
The final College Night of 2018 will take place Friday. Elements include:
-A DJ spinning at the Budweiser Patio in right field from 5:30 p.m. through the conclusion of the game.
-The first 1,000 college students in attendance who purchase a College Night ticket will receive a complimentary College Night hat.
-College students will receive a special ticket discount here (advance price of $15 in a Right Field Upper Reserved College Night section; prices increase day-of-game). College Night food specials include a cheese quesadilla for $2.50, Turf Tacos for $2.50 and a Cali Burrito for $5 available at Lucha Libre.
 
Continuing on Friday and running through Sunday (or while supplies last), fans will be able to purchase $1 Shirts off Their Backs scratcher tickets for the chance to win a jersey off a player's back and take part in the 19th annual Shirts off Their Backs postgame ceremony presented by Sycuan Golf Resort on Sunday, September 30. Tickets will be available at multiple locations and from Guest Service Representatives throughout the ballpark. Tickets will be sold through the end of the 4th inning each game while supplies last.
 
Fan Rewards Month presented by Donovan's Steak and Chop House continues on Friday and will run through the end of September, featuring a variety of activities to thank Padres fans for their support. Fans are encouraged to download the MLB Ballpark app and enable check-in offers for the chance to win prizes. As part of Baseball Night in San Diego, all fans in attendance on Saturday will receive a 2018 Team Photo and 2019 Schedule, in addition to one of the '98 Commemorative Bobbleheads presented by Sycuan Casino, featuring Tony Gwynn, Ken Caminiti, Trevor Hoffman or Greg Vaughn.
 
Saturday will serve as Faith & Family Night where churches from around Southern California will be in attendance at Petco Park. Fans will have the opportunity to listen to the testimony of Padres players and participate in a postgame Q&A session. Nine-time Grammy nominated artist Matt Maher will also perform a postgame concert accessible to fans who purchase the dedicated Faith & Family Night ticket package. -Padres reliever Craig Stammen will be recognized as a 2018 Bob Feller Act of Valor Award finalist prior to Sunday's game for his support of service men and women.
-United States Navy Vice Admiral Chip Miller, Commander Naval Air Forces, will throw the Ceremonial First Pitch during the pregame ceremony.
-U.S. Navy Veteran Isabel Miramontes will perform the National Anthem before the game and will sing God Bless America during the 7th-inning stretch.
-Nine Docents from the USS Midway Museum will take the field to greet Padres starters as part of the "Military Take the Field."
 
The final Friar Family Day presented by Denny's of 2018 will take place on Sunday, with elements including:
-A special ticket package offer featuring $15 tickets for kids (14 and under) and $20 for adults. A hot dog and soda is included with each ticket.
-Access to inflatables and face painters in Park at the Park prior to Sunday's game.
-Following Sunday's game, kids 14 and under with the Friar Family Day ticket are invited to run the bases. Kids and their families can begin lining up following the conclusion of the eighth inning at the top of the ramp leading to the Craft Pier presented by Ballast Point on K Street.

KidsFest presented by Chick-fil-A and supported by Del Real Foods, Compadres Kids Sunday Signings and Postgame Kids Run the Bases activities include:
-KidsFest presented by Chick-fil-A and supported by Del Real Foods features bounce houses and other inflatables, games, face painters, balloon artists and more kid-friendly activities in Park at the Park beginning at 9:30 a.m.
-From 10:30 to 11:00 a.m., two Padres players will sign autographs at the Park at the Park for Compadres Kids Sunday Signings. A -Compadres Kids membership is required to participate. Membership is free, and kids can sign up online here or in-person on the day of the event.
-Following Sunday's game, kids 14 and under are invited to run the bases. Kids and their families can begin lining up following the conclusion of the eighth inning at the top of the ramp leading to the Craft Pier presented by Ballast Point on K Street. Compadres Kids members will receive front-of-the-line privileges by lining up at the Park Blvd Gate Plaza.

Immediately following Sunday's game, more than 40 fans who purchased a winning scratcher ticket for the Shirts Off Their Backs presented by Sycuan Golf Resort fundraiser will receive a game-worn Marine camouflage jersey off the back of a Padres player or coach. Scratchers will be sold throughout the homestand leading up to Sunday with all proceeds from the scratcher ticket sales benefiting the Padres Foundation.
