Phillies July 4th Festivities to Honor Nation's Heroes

Entire roster to wear stars and stripes uniforms, as those who served in the military - including 70 Phillies day-of-game employees - take the field for a very special tribute

July 1st, 2016

The Phillies will celebrate Independence Day with those attending Monday's game against the Braves by honoring our nation's heroes with a special on-field Salute to Veterans, beginning at 3:30 p.m.
A specially-designed "Stars & Stripes" uniform will be worn by the entire Phillies roster. The Stars & Stripes cap will be available for fans to purchase at the Majestic Clubhouse Store.
An All-Service Military Color Guard will present the colors. In addition, ROTC Honor Guards from Cherokee High School in Marlton, NJ and Benjamin Franklin High School in Philadelphia, PA will take part in the ceremony.
Fans are invited to write thank you notes to military members behind Section 136 (outside the Majestic Clubhouse Store), which will be mailed with care packages to active military deployed over the holidays.
Phillies' Charlie Morton will also host members of the Liberty USO.
A special Military Appreciation Theme Night Ticket is also available, which features a Phillies Dog Tag giveaway and ticket discount for military personnel and veterans.
