Phillies to Celebrate Father’s Day Early & More! Team Returns for Weekend Series vs. Reds, 6/7-9

The Phillies are back in town! Here’s a look at some of the fan highlights surrounding this weekend’s series against the Cincinnati Reds (Friday, June 7-Sunday, June 9) at Citizens Bank Park. Plus, All-Star Voting has begun. Fans can Ring the Ballot and show their support for Bryce, J.T., Rhys and the rest of the starters by going to phillies.com/vote.

  1. The 7:05 p.m. game on Friday, June 7, features probable pitcher Zach Eflin. Prior to the game, cheer on the area’s top 10 readers as they take the field for Phanatic About Reading Night presented by Xfinity. Plus, the Phillies Wives are hosting Save a Pet at the Park, which includes a pet toy and blanket drive, adoptable pets and more! Rhys Hoskins’ dog Rookie will take part in the event.
  2. At 6:30 p.m., the Phillies will recognize the top 10 readers, along with their teachers, in the Phanatic About Reading program presented by Xfinity. The evening also includes a $4 ticket discount in celebration of all readers, available through a Theme Night ticket offer at phillies.com/themenights. Plus, all fans 14 and under will receive “The Phillie Phanatic’s Hero,” the latest Phanatic book in the children’s series.
  3. Stop by the First Base Plaza to help save pets in need. Fans can meet adoptable puppies and kittens, as well as Rhys Hoskins' dog Rookie and Phillies Wives! Mystery balls will also be on sale throughout the weekend (while supplies last). At the entrance gates, fans are invited to donate pet blankets and toys to benefit the Pennsylvania SPCA.
  4. In addition to the Phillies Wives Save a Pet at the Park, fans and their favorite four-legged friends will take over Citizens Bank Park for Phillies Bark at the Park on Friday. Over 350 dogs and their human friends will be attending this sold-out event.
  • After the game, enjoy music by DJ Ken Dollaz at the new Pass and Stow, adjacent to the Third Base Plaza.
  • Get ready for Saturday’s 4:05 p.m. game! Join the Phillies, Citizens Bank and Philabundance, along with Phans Feeding Families ambassador Aaron Nola and alum Mickey Morandini, in a ballpark-wide effort to strike out hunger. In addition to a special ticket offer, fans can donate food at the entrance gates or purchase food for the cause on Citizens Bank Way and receive a BOGO ticket offer to the Phillies-Mets game on June 24. Plus, it’s Bud & Burger Night and all fans are invited to The Avett Brothers Postgame Concert.
  • Fans can pitch in to bring hunger relief to families in need during Phans Feeding Families festivities:
  • Buy a Phans Feeding Families Theme Night Ticket, with $8 per ticket going back to the cause.
  • Donate non-perishable foods such as peanut butter and jelly, canned tuna and pasta at food drop-off areas at the entrance gates and receive a buy-one-get-one free ticket offer to the Phillies vs. Mets game on Monday, June 24 at 7:05 p.m.
  • Stop by Citizens Bank Way to purchase food for families in need, thanks to GIANT Food Stores, and also receive a BOGO ticket offer to the Phillies-Mets game on June 24. Meet 1993 National League Champion Mickey Morandini, who will be on site to thanks fans.
  • Participate in the Phillies Charities 50/50 Raffle, where a portion of the proceeds will benefit Philabundance.
  • At 3:30 p.m., be in your seats to cheer on Nola, Morandini and volunteers from Philabundance who will take part in a special ceremonial first pitch to bring awareness to the cause.
  • Visit Boardwalk Eats in the Left Field Plaza to enjoy specials on Budweisers and burgers, as well as meet 1983 National League Champion Series MVP Gary "Sarge" Matthews, 2:30 - 3:45 p.m.
  • After the game, The Avett Brothers will perform an on-field postgame concert! Your game ticket is also your concert ticket - no additional purchase is required.
  • Sunday is Chevrolet Father’s Appreciation Day, with all dads being recognized before the 1:05 p.m. game!
  • Celebrate Father’s Day early at the ballpark, with men 15 and over receiving a Phillies’ vest, compliments of Chevrolet. Prior to the game, the club will recognize all dads. Plus, reliever Adam Morgan’s father, Wiley Morgan, will take part in festivities.

  • Gate Openings: Main gates open 1½ hours prior to game time. Ashburn Alley and a portion of the Third Base Gate granting access to Pass and Stow open 2 hours before every game. The entrance to Ashburn Alley is the Left Field Gate.
  • Parking Lot Openings: All parking lots open 5 hours prior to game time.
  • Broadcast Information: The game on June 7 will be broadcast on NBC10, and the June 8-9 games will be broadcast on NBCSP. All games will also air on WIP (94.1 FM) and WTTM (1680 AM - Spanish). Games are available via live stream for authenticated subscribers on NBC Sports Philadelphia’s new MyTeams app.
