Pirates Charities partners with The Tull Family Foundation to provide baseball and softball equipment to area youth organizations

Team partners to distribute $50,000 worth of equipment to local organizations

April 10th, 2019

Today, Pirates Charities partnered with The Tull Family Foundation and Pitch In for Baseball and Softball(PIFBS) to provide 16 local youth organizations with much needed baseball and softball equipment as the groups begin their 2019 seasons.

These local organizations serve over 1,300 youth participants from four counties throughout western Pennsylvania and will receive a grand total of $50,000 worth of equipment, courtesy of Pirates Charities, The Tull Family Foundation and PIFBS.

Pitch In For Baseball & Softball is a Harleysville, PA based not-for-profit that collects and redistributes new and gently-used baseball and softball equipment to communities in need to ensure more kids have the opportunity to play their respective sports.

Prior to the distribution event, representatives from each youth group identified the greatest equipment needs for their respective organizations. Pirates Charities and The Tull Foundation then worked with PIFBS to ensure these needs were met and equipment was delivered.
