The Pirates have claimed RHP Jesus Liranzo from the Los Angeles Dodgers and have optioned him to Double-A Altoona.
The 23-year-old Dominican native spent his first professional season with the DSL Braves in 2012.
He also pitched four years in the Baltimore farm system and participated in the 2016 and 2017 Arizona Fall League.
