The Pittsburgh Pirates today placed right-handed pitcher Keone Kela on the 10-day injured list (retro to May 6) with right shoulder inflammation. 

Outfielder JB Shuck has cleared waivers and has been outrighted to Triple-A Indianapolis. 

The club will make a corresponding roster move prior to tomorrow’s game in St. Louis.
