Pirates sign four more players from 2019 Draft

The Pittsburgh Pirates today signed the following players from the 2019 First-Year Player Draft. The announcement was made by Joe DelliCarri, Pirates Senior Director of Amateur Scouting. The Pirates have now signed a total of 35 of their 42 selections from the 2019 draft, which includes 23 of their first 24 selections. In addition, this is now the fifth time in the last six years Pittsburgh has signed at least 30 players from the First-Year Player Draft.

Went 0-0 with 13 saves, a 1.69 ERA (26.2ip/5er) and 25 strikeouts in 23 appearances (one start) as a junior in 2019 with Florida State….Also hit .266 (62-for-233) with 11 doubles, two triples, 13 home runs and 53 RBI in 64 games in 2019…Was named a first-team All-ACC selection as a relief pitcher in 2019…Was also named a third-team All-ACC outfielder in 2019 and to the All-ACC Tournament team as an outfielder in 2019…Was a 2017 ACC All-Freshman team selection.
