The Pittsburgh Pirates announced today a partnership with the online transportation network company, Uber. The new agreement names Uber the "official ride-sharing partner of the Pittsburgh Pirates."
Throughout the remainder of the season, Pirates fans will have the opportunity to take advantage of exclusive offers, while Pirates Season Ticket Members will receive special additional benefits.
"The Pirates are proud to announce this partnership with Uber as we continue to work to provide added benefits to our most loyal fans," said Pirates President Frank Coonelly. "These offers will allow for easy and safe transportation to and from PNC Park at an affordable cost."
Uber provides an alternate, affordable way to get to and from PNC Park as well as around the greater Pittsburgh area. Now, as part of the Pirates partnership, Uber will offer unique promotional codes for Pirates Season Ticket Members, Premium Suite holders and all Pirates fans to use before and after home games.
"For the second year in a row, Uber is teaming up with the Pirates to make sure a trip to and from PNC Park is hassle free," said Jennifer Krusius, General Manager for Uber Pittsburgh. "When the game ends, Pirates fans can skip the parking lot - just push a button and get a ride."
